So I was at my local casino playing cash poker yesterday. Blinds are £1/£1. I bought in with £20 and got up to £150 in the end playing some nice poker in my opinion.
I was in middle-late position with Jh-Qc.
Everybody calls and the flop comes 9s-Jd-Jc.
One player at the early position goes all-in and is trying to encourage the player next to him to call but he folds eventually.
Player to the right of me also goes all in quietly (he didn't play many hands before at all).
Since I floped three of a kind, I had a feeling that I must go all in even though I had a feeling somebody had a better hand. So I go all-in and the player to the right of me shows J-K off suit. At the moment, I knew I am going home. The first all-in player in the early position showed pocket kings.
The turn comes 4s and the river is 2d.
The total pot was something around £400.
Should I have folded it? How hard is it to fold such a hand? Did I play good poker right there? The player to the left of me said "this is poker for you boy". /discuss
