Not necessarily. Good players will always rebuy unless they suddenly didn't want to play in the tournament anymore or rebuying gives them a stack so short they have a impossibly long shot to win or even just cash. Good players are the one with so much cash, and having so much cash is what good BRM dictates you should have, in order to play in unlimited rebuys where you will often have to rebuy a few times.
Bad players keep rebuying even though they will need to win like 3 all ins in a row and only have a chance to survive and cash and will need wayyy more luck to score big. There are also bad players that nit up because they don't want to rebuy. When everyone else is willing to have more than one shot and you are only willing to give one, you are already at a disadvantage to get to the goal(top 3, at least FT, ultimate goal is of course to win). Bad players shove too wide to gamble just because its a rebuy. If you come across this type, you are in luck and usually will at least cash.
OP: I think it is a disadvantage although not as much as being unwilling to rebuy in a rebuy tournament. I feel that multi entry mostly just allows you to lower the variance as there is no chance for you to cash more than 1 FT spot and FT is where most of the money is played for. Min cashing your entries isn't much of a ROI.
