nl is a tough game dad made me play limit to learn and he said confidence in your game is critical.taking big loses in nlh will not build your confidence.my best advice that worked for me is to play live limit and pay attention.

One of the best ways to improve is just posting hands. If you use Poker Tracker or Holdem Manager , you just basically copy and paste the hand into your post. I usually use the Ace Poker Drills equity calculator, it pulls hands from your database, and you can just export hands right from the equity calculator, and it is already in the right format.

I believe the best way is to start with low limit games. When you start to beat them try small no limit.

Best thing you can do is join a training site. There's plenty of good ones out there. Try to watch a video every morning, you will drastically improve your game.

Different people prefer different learning methods. I learn best by playing. Play at micro stakes and only move up when you are winning consistantly.

The best way to do this is to play tons, and post threads about hands and situations that confused you. The only way to do this is by being humble and thirsty. Post and read about cash game hands daily and try to make this a habbit in your life in all things, not just cards. The best players in all games, not just poker, go over their game with a fine tooth comb. Pro atheletes watch tape all the time constantly. You took the first step and I commend you for your bravery and initiative.

I would also say that it depends on your learning style. I have read most of the books out there and was able to absorb a lot of it. I read most of the forums but only participate a little but they definitely have helped. But recently I start to watch more and more videos and realized that I was absorbing so much more. I would recommend to not limit yourself to one style of learning at this point. You never know what will be the most beneficial. books, forums, vids or maybe hand histories.

Mike Caro gives out tips everyday on facebook, just send a friend request and they will show up on your page. I also have learned a lot on pokerstars poker school, they have a great community of players and live free training. Hope this helps.
