All implied odds means is that you stand to win a significant amount when/if you hit your unlikely hand. Basically, it means you can play more speculative
hands as long as you believe that there is a reasonable chance you'll be paid-off big enough when you connect to make up for all the small losses when you don't connect.
That's the tricky thing about "implied odds". Are you really sure that you can stack your opponent when you hit some highly unlikely hand, or not. If you make your hand, but don't manage to get paid-off in a big way, it becomes a lose/lose proposition. You lose all the times you don't connect and you don't win enough back when you do connect to make-up for those losses.
So, long story short.... if you're going to play highly speculative hands when deep stacked, you'd better have some reads on your opponents that they'll actually pay you off when you hit that disguised monster.
