Image on its face, agreed on what people have posted; also my thoughts take into account how my play affects table dynamics. For example each time my game will use image, the bet made will change table dynamics, meaning this movement will also switch table dynamics even though, perception of my image in my opponents mind’s eye has not changed unless they already have my expectation of my future movement built into their model, and especially when my game is looking to play against the grain.
Aggression has to be taken into consideration as well, for example, each time a bet is made aggression is being demonstrated even if the bet is a limp. However, aggressions being used like bringing scorched earth to the table by betting pre at least 4X raise or more depending on the table dynamics at the time. Post flop betting pot or more, my thoughts have reasons behind every move because each bet has a clear objective for the table to have true reactions without deception, this is a broad assessment.
Ethical superman, a TAG, esthetic warrior, a NIT, scorched earth, a LAG, loose passive, tight passive but at any time could morph into scorched earth. How does the table react to these dynamics at any point in time? Different persona’s, bet sizes, unpredictable play from images allow for more freedoms of movements, these multiple images create an illusion of action that usually allow for pots taken down without showdown, or big pots to influence the players from the psychology of bets still based on image in any given moment, with table dynamic switches that influence the other players mind’s eye of perception that will further concrete a false reality.
My personality away from the table is passive aggressive but can play different persona’s at the table this allows all of the above styles to be utilized throughout a MTT session because of knowing how to play each of the above styles to the best of my ability. Not just a human interpretation of knowing how to play against any one style in the moment.
This allows for the opponent to have a true perception of a false reality this has the table stepping and fetching of what is really happening that is built on my image this will have them reacting to my play unless they have a monster, or the tricky players will just call those bets to set traps for cooler hands. Leveling situations is a mental tug of war that in the end the perception of reality is based more on the mental walls in any person’s game that block the true reality of a random situation.
Building multiple image’s keeps the play more of a moving target because eventually even with solid image people will become desensitized to how a person plays, and bets; the ebbs and flow of any image, style, this understanding helps to curb a clear objective for my opponents that are looking to exploit my image while trying to keep my image, and play fresh. But at any time a switch back to my true base style can be done to reshuffle image at the same time the table will reshuffle to my image as well because my play from time to time will be out on my front foot.
This information also needs to include, thoughts of balance through analyzing clusters of hands played. Think of a TAG image for example, in a group of played hands that fit the requirements for a TAG playing two strong hands out of seven in that group as a broad example; how did the opponents react throughout the whole hand? Was the table tight and passive against your movements? Was the dynamics naturally flowing because of the TAG having the lead and others following your movements? These would be indicators of why a player would switch dynamics because most are trying to exploit any image through timing, and why the switch would be profitable that go beyond switching dynamics just for the sake of switching dynamics or letting the dynamics to continue on its natural course?
For my game, mostly a feel type player based on psychology, philosophy this allows the mind to understand ebbs and flows of the game. However, with each image, each switch has reasons with triggers for feel it is through these adjustments hopefully ahead of the opponent’s mind’s eye of natural observation of my switches they will be several hands behind my true intention before they visually see a distinct difference then try to adjust themselves. These are the ebbs and flows of the game through a long running MTT.
My game is actually playing against the tournament dynamics it is this ever changing flow of blinds and antes for my game to switch images for the benefit of keeping up with blinds, the different stages of a long running MTT. The players are there to take me out of my intentional flow that my game is feeling for each ever changing situation of a hand or levels as the game progresses.
Simultaneously thinking how image is flowing with the changing flow of the structure, a question, is my game keeping up with the blinds or is my game sinking towards being behind the structure of the tournament? This is important to know when and why a person would switch image, gears to flow with a seamless change for players then to define their game as well as playing against the tournament.
Anomaly, deviation or departure from the normal or common order, form, or rule; one that is peculiar, irregular, abnormal, or difficult to classify. Balance, flow, clusters of hands, through different ways to play hands. My mind’s eye puts these thoughts together, now the opponent has a human interpretation of a perceived image that now could be true or just a false interpretation of a random situation. The value of a moving image that becomes difficult to interpret or appears easy to exploit, this and other conflicts of image that should go beyond the cards to the psychology of pressure through aggression should be invoked from timed or continuous pressure.
In conclusion, it is easy just to write down a simple response to the gentlemen that started this thread, however, it is just as simple to write down an uninterrupted plan that looks optimal on paper. Being the Monday morning quarterback my version or any player’s version will be proper on the surface. I believe this is where we are supposed to at least field a response of our own perfect vision in a forum because it is here where our thoughts will get judged. Then others interpret if any of this information would be plausible or just a bag of hot air. Giving a detailed response is what was taught in college so, please excuse my long winded response to a great thread question.
An anomaly is what the perception of my play that is to be interpreted by my opponents, this is to be observed by the table’s view of my play while in the moment, and this ultimate perception of a style of play without pattern while understanding my opponent’s future predicted moves from prior hands. The end game is to have my opponents view my flow; my multiple images’ this now becomes an anomaly by their choosing not my game creating this image for them. Thus, this helps to reduce the need to force situations unnecessarily, and to read my opponents movements as true to their abilities.
