Hey guys,

I'm newish to poker.

I mainly play spin and gos and win abit more than i lose. (possibly break even)

Im a certified fish to say the least.

I was wondering the best place to start to improve my game for tournaments.

Like whats the first key things i need to learn.

Appreciate any help on this.

Thanks

Check out my course with Katie if you haven't already. You want to start with fundamentals like ranges and equity. I think you'll improve quickly and feel free to post if you have any specific questions on the process of getting better in the games!

Can absolutely recommend that course. Also if moving from Spins to MTTs or even the classic 6-9 man SnGs, the main differences will be more players at the table and deeper stacks in the beginning. So you will need to learn ranges for opening from any seat earlier than BTN and for defending against such opens, and you will need to become better at postflop play. Personally I think, cash games are the best place to learn these fundamental skills, but maybe that is just because, it is, what I did myself :)

Stop playing spin n goes if you want to win. They take out too much money for the jackpots. Play comprable sngs
