simply maths is , if you have 1 out from flop till river so you have 4 percent chance to win by each 1 outs, till turn, meaning from turn to river; it will come to be 2 percent for each 1 out.

it is an estimate, if you have 15 super outs, the rules may not work , 15 outs may be just 50%, but still be fine to be an estimate.

https://www.cardschat.com/poker-strategy.php

Have a quick look in there, read over the basics and try to memorize it. There are plenty of articles in there that are based on fundamental strategy that should help you improve.

For all your cash game needs - https://www.cardschat.com/forum/cash-games-11/

There is a ton of discussion in our cash game section. Maybe you should start a thread in there explaining where you are at, how much you understand and what you think you need to improve on.

FWIW I only understand basic odds, you should try learn them but they are not the be-all/end-all of poker so don't worry too much about it.

XXPXXP is correct. I will explain it slightly differently, which may help. If there were 100 cards to come then you will agree that if you have three outs to (hopefully) win the hand then the chance of one coming down next card is 3%. And if the turn and river are both to come then it would be 6%. But there are only 52 cards in the pack so your chances are approximately doubled – to 2% per card to come multiplied by your number of outs.
This means that if you have, say, AK (assuming we are playing Holdem) then the chance of one of them being paired on the flop is 6 (outs) x 6 (3 cards to drop at 2% each) = 36%. The chance of one coming on the turn is 6 x 2% = 12%. And the river is the same of course.
Just remember 6% – 2% - 2% (flop – turn – river) multiplied by your number of outs. Of course it’s not often you will need the flop figure as it’s not until after that point that you can accurately assess your number of outs. All percentages are approximate but sufficient to make a quick assessment.
