Hello everyone. So i`m posting this because I need a little bit of help. So I`m a low stacks poker player, playing 25 cents spin`n`go and 10 cents sit`n`go. So why I`m saying I can`t manage my bankroll is because, for example, if I have 1 dollar I immediatly go and play 2-4 25 cents spin and gos. If I win those I don`t stop, I play until my bankroll is <1 dollar. Please tell me some strategies that can help me. Thanks !

Well I usually take a good bath to eat something when I can do some reviews. I try to get out a little talk with friends and forget some badly played sessions.

The basic rules of bankroll management

The simplest method of controlling your bankroll is the rules quoted above: "500 big bets" for limit games and "40 buy-ins" for unlimited games and tournaments.

A big bet in the limit game is the highest bet allowed, usually double the big blind. A buy-in is the amount of entry into a tournament or 100 times the big blind in unlimited games, usually.

Examples:

- You are starting to play on pokerstars, you want to play at the lowest level, because you are learning. Enter the Limit Hold'em table $ 0.05 / 0.10. Using the basic rule, get the big bet $ 0.10 and multiply by 500. You then need at least $ 50 to play quietly.

- For No-Limit Hold'em games, at a table $ 0.02 / 0.04, for example, the maximum buy-in allowed is $ 5. Multiply by 40. You'll need at least $ 200 to play No-Limit here with peace of mind.

- A $ 3 buy-in tournament requires $ 120 in the bankroll, using the same rule.

Do the limits seem too rigid? As you play, you will see that they are not that much. For sure, if you play respecting your limits, it will not break so easily. But, remember: there is no exact equation for all players, you need to define your own strategy and work from it.

It's not like you have much of a bankroll to manage anyways...

Kidding!

Anyway, look at it like this: The better your BRM, the more games you can play. So, with a $1 BR, you don't have a lot of options, but if you had to choose between .10 games and .25 games, $1 = 10 buy-ins at .10, 4 buy-ins at .25 cents.

While 4 and 10 buy-ins are exactly a lot, you have a better chance to do well with 10 buy-ins than you do 4. You have 2x as many games to play, which means you have 2x the chances to run deep and make a bit of a profit.

step 1, STOP playing spin and goes, no offense but I can pretty much guarantee that you dont have an edge in this low roi format- pretty much only the spin and go specialists have an edge and they have low rois. If somebody says they are good at spin and goes shark scope them and pay attention to the sample size. Do yourself a favor and play some freerolls to build your roll while you study and work on getting better at a different format.

Te, PM me, buddy. I can't send a PM apparently until I have 15 posts and I'll be damned if I'm gonna spew out 12 s-posts just to say hi, (hopefully I can reply to one though?) Not that you're not worth it, but you know, I'm just incapable of being okay with writing in such a manner.

Friend, control and bankroll is one of the hardest things to have when you are a beginner.
The best thing to do, put on paper or spreadsheets game goals, Example: I will play 50 tournaments for $ 0.10, being 3 per day!
so I followed the plan.
Create a plan that is a bit beyond what you believe you can get, so you get past your goal.
Many books tell you to play an X tournament, you need to have 100X buy-in from this tournament to be comfortable ..
The fact is that I question this, because of where they take this parameter? based on what?
A clear example is that this does not work, if you filter out Pokerstars' 10 player (the most profitable), and analyze what they have played in 4 years, you will see that it has a 300 buy-in loss in some periods. The joãoimão even arrives to have more than 30 thousand dollars of prejudice something to analyze your graph in a whole ...
To finish, 100 buy-in, 200buy-in matters little, the important thing is that you feel comfortable with your bankroll and have the discipline to follow your plan ...
You must understand that playing poker to be profitable, and as an investment, one hour you hit a big tournament that makes you have 100% profit of everything you invested ..
I hope I have helped.

I made the same mistake at the beginning, wanted to go up quickly, play bigger games and took the chance to invest the small wins in the most possible expensive SnG or Tournament, maybe I would get lucky. 1 Dollar at once, I was so proud. 2 Rounds later I started from zero with freerolls hahahha. So I played freerolls anyway, but more focused, learning, watching... My BR is at 50 Euro now and I play 0.20$ SnG to get 1$ Tickets for two big daily Tournaments, maybe I hit the pot, who knows? But at least I have TONS of chances to double up ;)

Because writing 15 posts is so hard.

Can't wait till you see the rules on getting the password to the CC games.

I think a lot of us have been there. I busted about 3-4 $100 deposits before I got tired of sucking. I mean, I still suck, but I'm better at bankroll management lol.

Focus on playing one table at a time until you've developed a winning formula for the type of game you are playing.

Multi tabling a losing formula is the equivalent of playing hands and spots that are doomed to lose you chips and money.

I would recommend SNGs instead of spin and go.
Regardless of the format you choose you should be studying what other winning players are doing to give you an edge, and of course, review your own game to ascertain what is and isn't working for you.

All the best.

Yeah I'd stop playing Spin 'n Gos - almost 3/4 times you're playing for a prize pool that's only two thirds of the total buyins.

When you're playing underrolled, you already need to get lucky in terms of running good enough to cash in several games in a row and make progress. You don't want to make that even harder by also needing to get lucky on the size of the prize pool!

So I'd just stick to the regular 10c SnGs. You're technically not rolled for them either, but you don't have any other options. So just play them, play your best, hope to get a bit lucky, and be prepared to start over if you run bad. Good luck!

The only advice here is just to try to play cash games. Spin n Go tournaments have a really big rake, so, what,s the point to play them, even if you are the beginner in poker.

the best way for you to track your bankroll is by using 10% per day.

Hi! I think that your experience on your bankroll is not actually experience. Try the fifty50 SNGS from 1,50$. Play about 20 tournaments, look at his stats. You will be helpful. These sit n go coach you in poker. My personal 70-80% of victories. But I quickly tired of the monotony of small wins and move on to other limits, which actually lose)) Want a bankroll - train sit n go's single table. His first Sunday million I played the ticket step 4, and begin with step 1 for 7.5$. And it happened that I played for 7.5$ in the Sunday million. There I did not have the patience and I took off with the KQ hand where the 3500-th)) And if at least held on to the prize zone, you would get about 400$ minimum)) Agree - this is bankroll) With respect! Good luck!
