The reason I wasn't holding a full stack is because It was from a ring game ticket I had got when I joined up. This entire hand was a disaster, but I raised because I was trying to narrow the field, I didn't really expect a ~8bb raise to get snap called by 4 players. I called the 2 cents when I caught the A on the river because it's a tiny amount in relation to the pot, but I figure when the next person shoves it means they probably made the flush. As it turns out my A was good but I folded. did I play this terribly?

And on this hand, I played it this way because these players are terrible and I figured I could get called by worse. But I figure if the river bricks I probably just check however the river gave me a flush, should I have bet more?

Hand 1: The way the hand played out I would call the all in, it is obvious the all in which is also a short stack has an ace the only ace that beats us is AK or a lucky ace which hit 2 pair. Timai is looking for a ridiculously cheap showdown with their bet of 0.02 and just couldn't give it up make sure you tag this guy a fish. Also tag the all in player a fish as in my opinion the all in is terrible here most of the time they are only getting called by worse and calling raise with rag ace is horrendous.

Generally I would c bet the flop as we are the aggressor but at this level it is opponent dependant if they are calling stations then i like the check. Alot of players fold on flops when they miss at this level, they will call any raise pre-flop with any two cards and cross their fingers to hit a pair. We can't fold AQ for 0.49 cents in this spot.

Hand 2: I can't stress enough the importance of looking at hands as a whole. Just my opinion I'm still learning cash games myself. Your check pre flop is ok. Your bet on flop is ok we don't want it to go check, check after us and then let an K or A come on the turn and if we can win it now thats good. On the turn what hand ranges do you put your opponents on? We have picked up a flush draw but with two people in the hand I would be aware that our Q high is probably behind. I may elect to check here and try and get a free card. You bet and hit your flush anyway and stick in a chunky bet which is correct because we know our opponent must have something half decent and win a nice pot.

The questions I would ask myself is what would I do on the river if I miss the flush I still have Q high do you bet again. Check call a bet from opponent. Fold to bet. Again mark yeya_jai as a fish limping Q7 is a terrible play and will cost them as it did in this hand. They should not have been there in the first place. Also even if you had missed your flush and lost to Yeya's 2 pair most of the time in these spots you will win they will still call your bets with just a pair of qq's and a 7 kicker and you will win the pot.

A bit long winded but my main point is not to look at hands in just the winning and losing of a single hand but the long term. As an example recently I won a big pot after calling a 1st pos raise I was in the sb with A6 offsuit (i was tilting at the time). Flop comes AA6 jackpot fullhouse the stacks go in and win a nice pot, my opponent flips over AK suited. I can pat myself on the back for winning a big pot but in reality this was a terrible play by me most of the time I will lose a big pot playing A6 off against early pos raises.

Keep plugging away!!

i agree with spsb with hand 1, c bet and call the all in, now another story is who
would call a c bet, but asuming that they are beginners i dont think that 66 guy would let it go, and rag Ace too so you might have 3 way pot from that point and after that ill slow it down i wont bet on the turn but i'd bet on the river (or raise if rag Ace made this idiotic .2$ bet into .70$ pot) and if i get re-raised which probably wont happen, i'll won a showdown. Dot get me wrong, folding a top pair to a possible flush is not mistake, but in this hand i wont even consider flush...

hand two, biggest mistake is not raising preflop and letting q7 guy to flop a 2 pairs, everything else you did was fine, bet with the top pair on flop, bet on the turn, and flush on the river saved your ass from loosing more than a 1$ but that would happen 35% of the time, (18% on the river) qand all that just because you didn't bet preflop...

Always calling the first hand... Snap call... He shows up with a lot of worse aces there a lot of the time
