Hi, i'm new to this site, and i have never shared a hand before, and since it happened earlier today, i don't have the precise hand, but i remember it.

I was on button, he was BB, everyone has folded.

I have Kh 4s

I raise with 3 BB, sb folds, BB calls

Flop is

4d , 9s , 6h

I raise with 0.10 , BB calls

Turn is a 4d

I raise with 0.15, he calls.

river is Jh, i raise with 0.30, he goes all in with a larger amount than me.

As confused as i am, i put him on a 4 as well, but since i have a king high kicker, i feel that i should call. I call, he shows 99.

Should i have folded? I was mad at myself right after, for not even considering if he had pocket pairs, but if this were to happen to me again, i would most likely be calling as well.

I'm new to the game, so please shed some light on it, and help me out. :)

First off, I would be a bit worried that there was a 4d on the flop and on the turn. :) ... that said, if you had been at the table with the villain for a while and you knew him to be a solid player then maybe you have to fold but he could just as well had an over pair and you would have been good. If he just had an over pair I would expect a solid player to just call with a pair and shove with more, a fish could have shoved just to bluff you off.

If someone go all in you should think what they have .....they range ......At microstakes most players don't bluff....if someone at micro go all in ....they have a monster hand

No ,three of any kind are hard to defend against, especially the lower to mid range hands ,if you ask me you made a call that 99% of us would have made, but the one thing that is true and you have to watch is when someone goes allin ,you have to go back and think of the way they have been playing and make your choice ,have they been playing loose or tight ,bluffing, then go from there,I think you made a good call just a bad beat! in that sense I totally agree with stardemonn!
