20NL(.10/20.) is a litle high for a 70$ BR imo.
I use 20/15(move up when i have 20buy-in for next level and move down when im at 15) buy-ins for ring games, but each there one.
some people use 40/35(when they reach the higher stakes) and some use 11/8 but 3,5buy-in is just way to low imo.
with 70$ i would be playing 5NL and some 1-3$ sng´s and tornaments

You have 70 cents and you want to reach $ 200.00 ?

I would give you 10 years to do that, and it still wouldn't be done.

Focus on earning yourself 3 dollars.

You might be able to do that in one night.

 I think you might have misread what he wrote he said $70 but he just wrote it like you would say it dollars after 70
My suggetion is try to play a few 1 table sit n go's 9 players top 3 usually win and keep it at a small buy in that way you avoid taking mad suckouts for lots of money
also maybe try playing a bit of limit poker

I am following the advice of playing stakes taking into consideration 300BB ($70 / 300 = 0.23c) That's why I am playing on .10/.20 stakes

My first goal is to reproduce those US$70 into US$200. 24hours after i begin, I raised US$1.68, so now i have US$71.68.

I hope I can improve my game.

Cheers!

Alex.

You might want to try some sit and goes. I am not sure what you should have bankroll wise for limit but playing .1/.2 with 70 bucks seems a bit high. Best thing to do it to get the trial of pokertracker and use that to see if you are actually winning. If you are, then keep playing. Make sure you mix up your game every so often so that it doesnt become a grind.

There is some bankroll calculator

in the internet. I didn't know if I can put here a link so you can write in google "bankroll calculator" and you find some results.
anyway, if you have a 70$ than you should play 1c/2c No Limit Holdem.

It is 20h GMT and today has been an Awful day!

First,...i made a HUGEEEEEE mistake and spent A LOT of my bankroll playing the roulette on Titan Poker (I am SOO stupid, I know)

Besides that,...I've been playing about 5-6 hours today and I've made only $0.85. (limit .05/.10)

What do you recommend me? (besides kicking myself for spending my bankroll on roulette)

Cheers!

yeah,...that was VERY stupid. and you know why I did it? Because the stupid thinking after playing a couple of times, I doubled my bankroll and I thought "Excellent! let's play more to win more!"....Stupid me..... I lost it almost all.

Well, now i'm playing on .02/.04 tables and i don't know what I'm doing but I am only making about .80 cents of profit in aobut 5 hours of play.

Is this normal?

cheers!

Don't gamble is my recommendation.
If you like ring games and are good at them, then stick to that, but if you want a tourney setting, then as it has been suggested above, play the low-limit SnGs(1 table), a nice tight game should get you ITM about 50-75% of the time IMO.

While it seems very obvious, people do forget or ignore the fact that the way to build a bankroll is to play where you have a edge. Roulette, for example, is bad because the house has the edge. For poker, it's a matter of playing at a level where your skill differential balances out the cost of rake and/or fees.

80 cents in five hours is obviously a puny hourly rate, but if you look at it as 4 BB per hour, it's not bad. Also, remember you can make more per hour in different ways; e.g 2-tabling is more profitable as ling as your win rate stays above 2 BB per hour.

And as for the level you play at, for small rolls, I'm not a big believer in arbitrary guidelines such as having X buyins. The reason is that even if you lose it all, it's not that hard to replace.

There's no bankroll reason not to play no limit. Whatever you are better at, .10/.20 limit or 5nl, but I'd say drop to 2nl if your bankroll dropped below $50. 1.10 tournaments, $2-3 sngos

For single table SnG's try to have at least 20 buy in's. Thus if you have a roll of $70, the maximum buy in you should be playing is $3.50. Your going may be slow but that is the whole point of bankroll management: to increase your bankroll while minimizing risk. There is no way to rapidly increase your roll without enduring lots of risk.
