I started at this new limit after finally getting my BR to 20 buy ins, over 20k hands at 4NL. The first two days have been rough - I went up half a buy in on day one and down 4 on day 2. A lot of it is bad luck, but I feel really out of my element at the new limit, and if anyone is having success, I'd appreciate tips specific to these tables. Being down 30% of all the money I spent two months winning is really, really, REALLY demotivating.

I've noticed this usually happens when you move to a new stake. You loose abit always then get demotivated. But it's part of poker. You are respecting the stake more than you shd. Just adjust. And don't force your way through hands. Trust your reads. It will turn around eventually, if you're doing the right thing. Play basic ABC poker until you've won a few buyins. Then you can get creative. But try to adjust to what everybody on these tables is doing. You'll be fine I'm sure.

Try posting some of the hands for analysis. It's kinda hard to give specific advise but I will say that when you increase levels, the competition tends to get better also.

Yes! Demoralizing is a better word :)

Well thanks for the advice. I will tighten up and not try to outplay the regs as much and hopefully bolster my BR against fish and maniacs. I think this is 90% downswing though, last night I was just feeling very distressed. A bunch of times I'll be betting with best hand on the flop and turn and the river will make the villain's hand. And I lost a 30$ pot with 73% equity.
