Does anyone else have this? Cash or Tournaments. Someone raises and I call, then they C bet flop and turn usually with overcards to my hand, but I seem to lately be struggling to believe that they have those exact overcards? Especially if you get J's or Q's, Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe I put my villain on too tight of a range etc... It's costing me a bit lately... Advice how to deal with this?

Sorry if this is super vague btw, I don't have specific hands to put down, it's just a general assumption of "how many jacks" or "how many queens does he really have here?" etc and then talking myself into calling a Cbet / 3betting / bluffing.

You're looking at it the wrong way. Step 1 is be in position so that you can determine if they have anything, usually check means mid pair or less. Don't put all of your focus into winning these big hands, try to aim for the dead money. If you're in position and they check on the flop after limping into the pot definitely raise 1/2 pot-2/3 pot. If someones willing to put there entire stack into a hand they usually have something strong.

I think this illustrates why everyone preaches about having position and taking initiative by betting/raising, rather than calling.

Perhaps you can use these ideas before the flop in order to simplify your decision making post flop.

I used to have the same issue with JJ/QQ. I would call with QQ and call down to river and sometimes 3 bet the turn but this was losing money and was a leak.

Easiest way to look at this is that you need to 3 bet these in position and then your decisions become a lot easier on the flop/turn.

Maybe try to trust the players on bad situations , and fold your hand , and try to wait for the best hand to win his chips.

I use to do the same thing quite often. I still catch myself doing it from time to time. I just can't believe someone would play a certain 2 cards. But after seeing my chips go away time after time I started to believe.them more. Lol. All I've read and been told is that in FR and micro stakes people rarely bluff. If they fire a second barrel and especially a third, 9out of 10 times they got.It. Hope this helps ... Tal

I have done this. It sucks calling off like that. It is believing they are betting with nothing.
