Math Question:

Trying to do my math.

I call with 98 and there 3 players to the flop(including me).

I call with 98 and the flop comes JQ2, now I have 4 outs, the 4 tens to the straight, Am I correct here?

I have seen 5 cards of the 52 cards in the deck, there are 47 known cards left.
And out of 47 cards, I have 4 cards(4 tens) that are my outs, so there 43 cards that don't help me and 4 that do help me? Am I correct here?

so I go 43/4 or 10-1, which comes to 9%? Did I do this correct?

The pot is 108 and I need to call 42, the pots odds are 2-1, which come out to (1/3)33%.

I fold, did I do this right?

Yes, 43 bad cards and 4 good cards. Folding was correct. You did have 4 outs, but there's also a chance (small) a 10 would give your opponent a straight too, if they had AK.

You do. And you had not exactly 4 outs. Tens give villains the opportunity to collect superior straight. And they wouldn't pay you often in case of straight draw TJQ on the table and your big bet.

It's elementary, my friend! Catch the thought! And deeper! What position? What range of opponents? How did you choose the size of bets? Which hand do you have? 98 If one color or different? What is the flop? In the sweat of 98 multi-colored one is very good as it can collect 5 kinds of straight, flush, two pair, and the pair, trips! hard to say something when you do not know the position, and what color cards! It is hard to count outs! Because there are several kinds of flop! for example you have 4 outs is 4 * 2 = 8% if you go all-in the 4 * 4 = 16%, and better consider the EV, it is more accurate value, there is still the implied pot odds! Everything is interconnected in poker!
And all this will affect the size of your bets! You have to win a combination of hand and not to evaluate his hand on the merit, because in poker! And if you study the theory, then you will be able to exploit opponents' game! here's an example of my drawing https://www.boomplayer.com/22348293_2E2D02842A

As you can see, my friend, I do not have to wait for a good hand to win the good banks! It is necessary to appreciate their cards. Flop. Opponents. And make every effort to win them! I'm like a boa constrictor slowly tightening the noose, the same distribution to the same player https://www.boomplayer.com/22348839_6A04E7D7FA
I introduced him to the tilt, and he no longer knew what to do!
The truth is I now have too many mistakes! But I'm working on them because I have a goal! And this is the purpose to show a decent game! Therefore, I will be glad if you will study theory and will achieve great victories!

You made a good fold. Sometimes, you have to consider what card helps you, since as was indicated, you would be drawing to the dummy end of the straight. Easy for you opponents to have K 9 or even AK as indicated. Better to give in and live to fight another day.

You did right. You had 4 outs to straight but your opponent could have AK or K9 and if you make your straight it could cost you a lot. You can't even make nuts in this hand and it's a good fold.
