Yes it is true, I am a beginner mostly on the new playing site for USA players. Until Playing Poker is legal and OK with the Lawmaker - I will not deposit on any site. I try not to commit any crimes in life or commit sins - but I am not perfect. We all commit a few easy ones, like drinking and playing country music and getting mad.
Poker is fun for Sippy. Everyone is a challenge. Poker mostly is a $$$$$ management game in the long run, if you play for money. Never commit more than 5-10% of your bank. Usually 1-2% is good. You may work your way up to the higher tables and players. The cards always remain the same, which ever level you play at.
You must find a comfort level that you can play at. Poker is a logical game - the highest hand wins. You must always expect there is a higher hand than yours. You can read the cards once the flop happens. You can also read your possibilities by the cards dealt to you - what possible high hand could you have? One pair, two pair, three of a kind, a flush, a house, four of a kind, a straight flush or a Royal Flush - I BLUSH.
If, you play poker a lot you will experience all of these hands. They seem mysterious when they happen, but it is just odds. Maybe some sites control the cards and hands for profit to make you bet. If the sites are programmed, then it is OK. The secret to the play then is to read your cards against the flop and watch the betting. Always look for that highest hand, Four of a kind is good - but a Royal or a higher four of a kind will win.
