Thanks! That was my thinking as well but wanted some confirmation.
Was playing 4NL/FR this weekend and had 3 nits {50+ hands 9/9 etc}
and what I think was a multitable reg {150+ hands 13/7} on my right.
Seemed to really click as to how I should play these guys now that I know their tendencies....
Sorry to add more questions to your thread AugustWest but I have a question about putting the "multitable reg {150+ hands 13/7}" on a range. So the VPIP and PFR have a difference of 5 which is not ideal but doesnt show hes a fish. PFR of 7% means Villain is opening like QQ+/AJ+ (roughly as I dont have a equity calc to figure that out). So the difference in the VPIP to PFR of 5 is his flat calls/limps? So we could assume that this is like pocket pairs and some broadway cards?
Ive been doing a lot of studying on this stuff lately and wouldnt mind some advice on how we should break down the Villains range based on VPIP/PFR stats.
Also, if you have a iPhone, check out pokercruncher. 'Stove on steroids...
Hi Alfie,
Aggression factor is calculated: (Bet + Raise) / Call, checking or folding has no effect.
Went to Showdown How often someone goes to showdown when the flop was seen. IE their cards are shown at the end of the hand.
PokerStove can give you a rough estimate based on VPIP/PFR.
Love the "Tonight I'm a pokerstar" thread :beerglass
