Once I found a freeroll championship made by ukrainian magazine and wenr there. I've lost, but members told me to go to next one and I won 4-th place out of about 200 people.
Some of them now me from there ))

Then I found normal poker in Kyiv and understood I'm not bad at cash games )
it's been 10 years ago...

Review your play from each session to see what is working and what is not.

The most profitable thing is to perform mistake work on your previous games, however u need to have Holdem manager or smth like this cause one isn't able to store everything in a head espessially with such an amouunt of hands. Also one is to keep up to date in terms of game style and poker playing tips. I would suggest watching some famous trendy poker players depending on ur taste (Polk, Negreanu etc.) Good luck!;)

you can try some good poker books that teaches you how to play in tournaments or cash games.

another good advice is follow some professional poker playing grinding on youtube or even alive you can easily find it on twitter.

and of course you can try read some articles if you are a total beginner, here on card chats there is a topic called Strategy Articles, I really recommend you to give a look into that.

I think watching videos from better players is the fastest way to learn nowadays, you can ask yourself what would you do in given spot and see what a pro player did, then you can analyze whether your decision was good or no and why.

Books are also ok, but it usually gives you only general overview, it's hard to learn how to play just by reading books.

I know everything by my own mistakes. This is the best lesson.

Look at the truth I do not consider myself a studious player, the only thing I've done was to take some coach but nothing else, I've never read seriously about improving my game, everything I know is from experience so I play it that my experience tells me (and I do not go wrong) for me, the study is not so important in poker

Start with books and practicing (freerolls, for example), it's the best way to improve your skills and gain some experience at the beginning, IMHO.

Best way I found is to set yourself a weekly schedule maybe 1 hour a night if you want but choose 2/3 topis you want to study, Mine this week is online tells and mental game. It works, and let's me concentrate on the topics as I play.

And i learn from this kind mistakes and analyse it and make sure it does'nt happen again..
