So in a game earlier tonight i was playing a 6max s&g andended up heads up with a relatively even stack against the other player. I had AA, bet 3BB pre flop, he raised pot and I called. Flop came A23 all spades. He bet half pot, i raised on my set hoping if he hadnt hit a straight I'd push him off the hand. He called and turn card was the fourth A giving me quads. He bets 4bb again, I call. River 2spades. He checks, I push him all in and he snap calls. My quad A vs his quad 2. Obviously i won, and got the best possible result. But did I play this hand well? What woulr you have done differently? advice is appreciated, cheers.

You played well, you kept control of the play from the beginning and you dominated the play:call2:

Well played. In what doubt? I've already lost the 10th tournament in a row with a stronger combination on the flop. Maybe even more than 10 tournaments. The turn and river are constantly against me. I'm Tired, I feel like a loser)))) Or pokerstars trolling with me ... Who was this happening to? You do everything right, but the fish takes the pot and I lose the tournament. I'm just laughing

This so easily could have turned into a heater if the second Ace did not appear on the table.
Your set of Aces had a chance of losing to a straight and a full house, and that's on the flop. On the flop, I usually go all in to scare a person from chasing the str8 or the flush, but online, i get called anyway and they hit 75 percent of the time to my set. Quads happen for me about as often as a royal, which is about once every year or two.

with AA only all in. If you want to "slow play" with this cards, there may be a problems

In heads up there's very "metagame", so when you say that you raise to get him off and take the pot, you are thinking by the wrong way. Instead I like your raise on flop, your thought can make you take a bad decision.

It was good play.I dont know how did dynamic was between you and villan but sometimes in HU its good to open limp AA.Becouse if opponent in HU good amount of times folds preflop to 3x its not good idea to blow him of the hand with A A .If he hits top pair or middle pair on the flop you decent amont of the time can stack him by limpng A A preflop. But if opponent shows aggresion than min reise is good also preflop...

I assume the 2*2spade is a typo.
You obviously played well, however, your thinking was different....
You want you opponent to fold in an online game: go need to go all-in post flop with AAA. You 'just raised' which is not the same, it leaves you some chips left, but you opponent does not need to pay a lot to get the turn.

Nope you played it as good as you could in my opinion. You may not have gotten all his chips without his quads, but lady luck shined upon you. LOL

Based on the way the cards came you could probably have played this hand completely wrong and gotten the same result. I would recommend next time to list the actual size of the stacks and cost of the bb. This will help to understand the dynamic between your bets sizes in relation to your stack and pot.

heads up so slow play on AA's propably was the right desicion to eliminate him a shove could gave you a fold ...flop was half of the bet and he might have flush or str8 but to be honest i would called anyways with AA'S and you hit the ace !

It is a pity that these were not my 4 5 shovels, and then you probably would have thought that you are a preflop aggressor and remake above, not giving a chance to the bank

Quad vs. quad. The only way to screw up is to slow down. You got lucky and he got unlucky.
