U seem to be a tourney player so stick with them

$1 tourneys and depending on the format you usually play either sng or mtt

That's just about the worst way to spend $10 bankroll

you got over 30 buy-ins of 30 cent daily dollar satellites. Try multi-tabling many 30 cent satellites. You reduce variance while steadily increase in profits.

Terrible advice above. Join 4 tables of 2c 5c rush poker, with a min buy in of $2 at each one. Wait for aces or kings and shove it all-in. They always call.
Once doubled up to $4. Leave, and re join with another $2. You will soon see your overall $10 increase to $20.

im suprised to hear that no one said head over to the 1c 2c nl cash tables and work your way up from there. I just recently started with 10 bucks in my account and am working it up from there to be able to join these mtt with enough bankroll to keep joining them

This post my be too late as you may have already started playing sit and gos with your $10, but I think thats the worst things you can do. 1.20 9 person sit gos are fine but I would have at least 20 buyins before I starting playing. 1c/2c full ring game is the place to grow $10 and its the only place you can expect to stay alive through a bad run of cards.

I would say the exact opposite. You can easily hit a bad run at 2NL and lose 5 buyins in a row whereas if you play tight ABC poker in the 9 man SnGs you will get in a lot more poker, and at least imo have a lot better chance at increasing your roll. But then again I am a SnG player, not cash.

Do they still give you $T for these or did they switch over to the tourney tickets like a lot of things? If they still do $T I agree with you, if tickets its only good if you want to play a lot of big donkfest MTTs.

Yes. If you enter 30 cent daily dollar satellites and get top 2, you get $1 tournament dollar.

Playing "any" ring game with only a $10 bankroll...and with all of your bankroll at that...is just a terrible idea.

Keep playing freerolls where you can, play in small dollar-money added MTT's (like the CC ones) which have smaller field sizes and added money, and play the dollar mtt's with less then 45 players.

It'll give you a better chance of growth then any ring game.

$10 is not a bankroll. Figure out what you want to play and deposit enough money so you have the proper bankroll for the stakes you end up playing.

I have to say "go with what works for you". I have tried a few different games but I really do well in the DD .30 qualifiers. I play 3 at a time and see how the cards are rolling for me, if I get in the top 2 in at least one of the games I am .10 cents ahead. If I loose all 3 games I'm only down .90. I play the .01/.02 ring games and have a decien go there too only I can loose the buy in fast if things go bad but I can also make a couple of $ it they go good. If I'm having a bad day I quit and play free rolls. I dont deposit, I just like playing and might as well be for real (little) money :)

well.. i tried almost all your advices except for the SNGs..
the .10 cent tournament didn't work... either the micro blinds buyin..
I still managed to keep my 10$ though.. I hope the SNG's work..
btw.. i'm more of a tourney player..got lot of experiences from 7500 player free roll.. but I always do good in a small competition tourney .. like private freerolls.. thanks for the advices .. hope it works :d

I definitely wouldn't recommend doing that, you don't need to deposit anything to make money out of poker.

That sounds like much better advice to me. ;)

You can make $10 grow with any format of poker. Maybe if you told us what type of poker you enjoy playing (ie tournaments, cash, SnG, heads up, etc.) you might get better feedback.

Every format of poker has their own little nuances. I think you should play what you enjoy most and then start thinking in terms of table selection.

You do if you want to make any money. You're not going to make any money playing 30 cent games.

Noteveryone has the option of depositing enough money to begin at the stakes they'd like to play, this is most likely why he was freerolling in the first place.
To the OP, I made a thread about growing a $10 bankroll a while ago, but can't find it atm, I was basically told to gamble it, and did, with some success but this is dangerous, i would recommend grinding 1.10 DoN's with a very TAG style.

Its not about making a ton of money at the 30 cent games, its about slowly and somewhat safely growing the little bit into a workable bankroll. I have gone from measily little bankrolls on a bunch of different sites without depositing, to cashing out hundreds of dollars as just a recreational player playing for fun. Yes, sometimes when you got almost nothing in your account you need to take a shot to try and grow that bankroll into something usable, but depositing is not a necessity. I actually have cashed myself out of sites back down to measily $20 bankrolls, its kind of fun and frustrating at the same time trying to get back up to the $5 level i like to play at.
