Hi, to post a hand use a handconverter, which there's is one here at CC, but several can be found on the net (delete the result of the hand though).
The use of it is, you might get a discussion about how the hand is played and probably should have been played.
So, most of the times you get some different opinions about the hand, but it's a way to find leaks in your game AND, I think you shouldn't underestimate this, it makes you think about what you did and could have done better because often you're gonna look at it from a different point of view.
Hands worth posting are hands where you don't have a clue if what you did was right or wrong, or hands where you are doubting if you played optimal.
If it is shoved to you PF and you have AA, well, there's no use to post the hand with the question if you should call (bc obv you should).
To keep track, it's all in the name, use a tracker.
You can find loads of info about that on this forum (subforum software).
I'm not so familiar with that, because I hardly play any cashgames.

Do you not know how to post a hand here on the forum or are you not sure where to find the hand history?

Another advantage to posting hands is that it allows you to get advice on very specific, in-game situations. Sometimes, people pose questions that are far too general to answer in a meaningful way, e.g. "Should I shove AK preflop?", "When should I cbet?", "Should I chase flush draws?", "How do I play sets?", where, really, the answer to each question is, "It depends on X, Y, Z, and a host of other factors". Posting hands that embody these theoretical scenarios, say, an actual situation where you were holding AK and facing lots of pre-flop raises, or one where you flopped a set on a wet board, would yield much more productive answers, because now those evaluating your play would have enough to work with to approximate what they think is the best move in your particular case.
