re: Poker & how should one start multi tabling?
I find myself playing quite a few tables at once. I find it very hard to concentrate on just 1 table (unless I'm deep). If I'm playing cash tournies, I will usually play 4-5, but if I'm farting around on some free sngs, or just freerolls
, I will fill my screen up with as many as it can hold, and then some. 12-14 tables at once at that point is no problem. Sometimes you time out if you play more than that, and your screens not big enough to fit them all.
The main reason why this is profitable, is because you almost have to play tighter. If your focused on one table, you get bored folding all the time, though you do pick up some really good reads on people by doing so. Fold those rags on all the other tables, and focus on your table with the monster. You tend to play less hands, but your playing more top ten-twenty hands. Position play is of course important, and is usually the first thing I look at at any given table, before I fold / raise / call.
I need a bigger moniter.
