I am wondering what is the usual strategy from small blind. I tend to fold alot, because you always end up out of position. How do you guys play it? Do you raise more or less in SB compared to BB? Sometimes I limp only to fold to a raise or to bet on the flop and take it down or let it go. But it worked better in 5NL:-)
In MTTs, I fold as much as I can. Fold hands like QTo-KJo from EP openers, while I defend these hands from LP openers but not by calling but 3betting instead. I call rarely from the SB and when I do, I make sure is vs weak opponents and with hands that flop well like JTs+, and small pairs if deep.
In Cash games, things change a lot. I steal a lot from SB with my playable hands and 3bet pretty much the same range as in MTTs but a little wider. I defend rarely too but I pretty much use the same concepts/reasons as in MTTs.
Hope this helped.
