I've asked this Question many times around here....So I'm gonna ask again....How/What is the right approach to playing Draws? I only ask this Question because, I recall P.O+Some others on here saying that the best Approach to a Draw would be the C/R rather then the Donk Lead out approach....And the Check Call Line is Pretty bad because it wont Ensure you the winning hand in the end+It will make your Hand Face up so with those reasons (If i'm not mistaken, then C/R is the Best approach correct)?....So if my Understanding is Correct the best approach would be for me to C/R them rather then CC down or Donk bet out into them Correct?

The Questions I have about this approach is, 1)Exactly what types of hands do we really want to Do this move against? For Instance if I believe the player has a Set and Is willing to Call your shove then, is it still wise to C/R A.I?
2nd) My other question is Do we really have to C/R A.I? Or would it be much wiser to C/R but not so much and also not to risk your tourney life on a draw?

3rd) Another Question I have is What draws do we want to make this move on? Flush draws/Straight Draws, Both OESD+FLD?

4) If we do this move Constantly, then must we not do the same with Bluffs?

I have alot more Questions Pertaining to Draws alone but I'll ask them after-wards....

Just so you all understand what I mean, Here's a Prime Example of what I'm talking about....

Hero (SB) (t1500)
BB (t1500)
UTG (t920)
UTG+1 (t1780)
MP1 (t2000)
MP2 (t1720)
MP3 (t960)
CO (t1440)
Button (t1700)

Hero's M: 25.00

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q

, 9

2 folds, MP1 bets t80, 4 folds, Hero calls t60, 1 fold

Flop: (t200) J
diamond.gif
, 10
club.gif
, Q
spade.gif
(2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets t120, Hero raises to t1420 (All-In), 1 fold

Total pot: t440

As you can See I over bet this pot, the problem I'm having here is that, I just don't think it's a good play or am I wrong...Also anther issue is CC is not the greatest either right....So exactly besides the Obvious Fold pre comments assuming you played this hand would you do the same...Would you RR to about say 500, And then call the Shove? Exactly what would you all do...

OK, there is some missing info but easy to add up . Blinds 20/40, and I am guessing STT..

The call here is (IMO) what need to be looked at first. IDK buy in, or table reads, so its hard to say, but in the SB, depending, I might call here as well. BUT that would depend on table reads. It would really depend on how I see the BB (will he raise here) and how I see MP1. Why is he min raising from MP1??? Amd what is my range against his? Do I wanna see a flop with my semi-decent-but-easily-dominated-hand, or just take it down here? This early in an STT I dont see folding here bad at all. I do have to say, this is a spot I have problems with as well, so any thing I say is possibly poison anyway....

I am C/R this flop, so IMO well played there. (I am assuming you saw this coming??) The all in C/R is totally OK for me. No way you can C/R and fold here, so depending on your read you almost have to go all in on this flop.

Sry Ya it's one of those Micro Buyins...Yes it's an STT also....How you figured that out from it, I don't know.....Reads I really have none to be honest as it's the start of the Game...Like maybe even 10 or so hands in....

it depends... it depends & oh yah, it depends.

fwiw, I'm never CRAI on this board. This board just smacks villain's range (esp. in early levels). Our draw isn't the greatest as we're often drawing to 2nd best.
What does crai accomplish except for folding out hands we're crushing? (mid prs., who I highly doubt are c-betting this board... although it's possible I guess.. more likely they're checking back though imo). Why would we want to check-raise to 500? & what would we expect villain to be rrai over our check-raise with, that we have decent equity vs.? (nothing imo)

Honestly what would I do > it's a STT/SNG, I'd have discipline to fold pre while OOP with a hand that is easily dominated & going to give me alot of trouble even if I do hit decent with it. I want to avoid spots (esp. OOP) where I'm stuck making difficult decisions.

If for some reason I chose to call pre.. I'm c/C here on the flop, re-evaluate the turn, while wondering to myself why I'm spewing chips off so early in a STT/SNG.

Ok P.O your right that it does hit his range of hands....Yet I called ok, so that's done with now the only Question is how to proceed with it....If I'm not mistaken it was you that told me that the best way to play draws would be to C/R correct? I'm really in Dire trouble against KQ,AQ,AK, other then that I'm not really that bad Am I? Also If I'm also not Mistaken it was you and others that have stated in the past to C/R rather then Donk bet out with a draw Or Am I also Mistaken here in this? 1 more thing P.O I thought C/C would make my hand face up that I had some sort of Weak Pair+Straight Draw so there Fore, I really shouldn't do that with draws but take a more Aggressive Stance....As to what I really beat there well Personally I beat only Air+Mid Pairs, as for the C/R As I stated I only take the Advice given here and use it as well as possible so C/C I thought Weak, and C/R would be better as to the reason for it, I'm putting them to the test rather then they put it to me, as I was told in some other post before......

I understand what your saying though, that the hand is Weak+OOP but you know me I'm a sucker for the Q9s:p

If I'm not mistaken it was you that told me that the best way to play draws would be to C/R correct? 'it depends'.. all draws are not alike,.. drawing to a straight where even if you hit you're not even likely ahead of villain (drawing to 2nd best) & in this spot the only stuff we're folding out is stuff you're crushing (med. pr's) I'm really in Dire trouble against KQ,AQ,AK, other then that I'm not really that bad Am I? Also If I'm also not Mistaken it was you and others that have stated in the past to C/R rather then Donk bet out with a draw Or Am I also Mistaken here in this? 1 more thing P.O I thought C/C would make my hand face up that I had some sort of Weak Pair+Straight Draw < really?.. maybe you've got the NUTS! maybe you've got AK here? (w a c/C vs. a spewy-agg villain who's going to spew off more chips on the turn.. not sayin' that's the best line.. just 'sayin' is all) so there Fore, I really shouldn't do that with draws but take a more Aggressive Stance....As to what I really beat there well Personally I beat only Air+Mid Pairs, as for the C/R As I stated I only take the Advice given here and use it as well as possible so C/C I thought Weak, and C/R would be better as to the reason for it, I'm putting them to the test rather then they put it to me, as I was told in some other post before......
Did you play the same hand twice? ('before'). Each situation is different.

CRAI here, early levels, (imo) is similiar to 3-betting a Qxx rbo flop & then calling a 4bai for huge. (< which yes... I think is 'bad')

If you choose to bring that hand up...Qxx(R)+Dry Flop....So I'll call there against a player raising in the C.O any day of the week (Not saying he can't have a Hand)...Just saying I didn't believe him there....

When you say draw that generally implies something like a flush draw or straight draw, sometimes with overs or some combo therein where we can usually be sure to be good if we make our draw and can get it in with good equity.

Here we flop pretty decent showdown value on a scary board with a really meh draw. I would call and fold if he bombs the turn assuming we don't hit another Q or 8 (K is no good if he bets). If he wants to bluff this board twice then good for him.

preflop is absolutely terrible.
