so i was just playing in a free roll tourniment where a guy kept going all in on every hand before the flop and only folding every 1 in 10 usually. The whole table would just keep folding for quite some time, until the guy lost all his chips when people finally called.
I called him twice and won both times. but betting all my chips away before the flop isnt something i like doing.

What would you guys do in a situation like this?

Betting all of your chips in a tournament before the flop is not something most people like to do lol. The most important thing to remember is position in a situation like that, and then of course how far into the tourney you actually are. If its early in the tourney I would stay away from him and let someone else risk his tourney life calling that maniac but if you are in position to where you can call his all in with a very good starting hand and not have a bunch of people behind you who can potentially call as well, I'd say go for it. This is of course unless you were on the bubble and in that case I'd probably fold everything but Aces or Kings and even those if there were more than one caller.

Your forgetting an important fact "It's a freeroll", these things happen in them all the time...The same things actually happen in rebuy tourneys in the 1st hour (Until the add on period)...

There's reason for it to happen in rebuys+freerolls....

1) The speed in which the blinds increase, could be a reason (In rebuys usually that's the case+the fact that you can rebuy)...In freerolls (Speed in which blinds increase is a great factor)+the fact that it's free, some ppl just want to either donk or be donked..

To deal with the player your referring too, I'd say take Soncheebs advice as it is similar to what I'd say

Had that happen yesterday. Guy would rabbit hunt when everyone folded. He always had a crap hand. I ended up with KK about the 6th or 7th time he did that in a row. I called. He had pocket Aces and was busted out. Chalk it up to bad luck.

Thanks. I didnt want to call him because i was of position, so i just folded until i had a good hand, called him and won. The where loads of people calling him every hand for some reason though.
He went bust quite quick though. I think its obvious that someone playing like that isnt going to get very far in a tourniment.
