When I chase a draw, I prefer to be an aggressor rather than limp

Running the risk of having fattened the pot and in the end did not complete my draw but I can also take my hand instantly up

My question is if it is a good way to play a draw or you lose a lot of money in the long run?

that depends on the guys you play with, if the reraise it you won't like your draw, if you get them to fold if you not hit it, you done it right

Seems to me that if you raise every draw eventually you run into negative results. Just based on experience you probably only hit your draws 30 to 35% of the time. That leaves 65 to 70% to get bad results.

You often do not collect them, because the flush draw is not ready to arm. When you chase a draw despite the odds, you will lose money. First of all, play with a flush draw is necessary - in moderation.
When deciding on whether or not to play a draw, you need to consider your odds; other cards that will help win the pot; the probability that the draw will win the pot (nuts hand); your position and the size of the pot.

I'm not criticizing your post... There may be a slight inherent fault to this statement tho'... I feel a person should never(? - depends given table dynamics...) be "chasing hands"... Normally the ODDS should be the foremost factor of whether you stay in or throw away your hand... You might want to check out the 2 & 4 rule... It'll help with making better decisions...

jmho...

Being the aggresssor on a draw, all depends on the player that you are playing against. Most players that you will run up on is not so easily intimidated. So if you are going with this method, then make sure the draw you're on gives you many outs.

Risk v. reward plays a part in my draw play. Position and well, quite frankly if the turn doesn't produce I'll most likely bailout before any real damage has been done.

Are you getting the correct odds to continue play? If you are/were then don't be so hard on yourself... If you are getting proper odds(sometimes to in include implied odds as well...) then you should feel comfortable in the fact that you made "the correct" play... Regardless of the results...

...again, jmho...

Hi Purple, It depends must times i just do the "value bet" to check if someone has a strong hand and if they just pay I keep on with a C Bet.
If they re rise then I fold. that way I cut my losses when the project is not completed. :deal:

always play it aggressive, i mean, there is always chance you can miss it and lose tons of money, but in case you hit ur draw, you can also get tons of money, so in my opinion it depends on play style, but i always preffer aggressive play

I understand your way of thinking,,i also like to bet my draes as it builds the pot for when i get it,,,,,plus i find it thins the herd a bit because second and third pair will fold then all you have left is top pair,,,then you deal with that as you will,,,it`s an aggressive way to play but it`s also a very fun way and if you can master the skill,,,you can do some damage and maybe win a tournament or two:D

I think all depends your high card draw, think about full houses is very important too.

But usually when I have a draw raise is the best chance to win a good pot

It depends on the stack of the players and the stage of the tournament and, of course, your hand, if you have a deep stack in mid/late game i guess you could try a semi-bluff with your draw, in early game i would not recommend you to bet having a draw, if you are short stacked in mid/late game i would recommend to you to check or go all-in.

When I play with a draw , I want to keep the bets low so that I can call the odds . Betting too much or calling big bets is sth I don't like cause I invest then a lot in contrast to the profit I 'll get , on the long run it's unprofitable , you won't hit 2/3 of the times your draw and the money will be lost , that's why manytimes villains bet a lot to put us out of target . Some players to some villains on the turn when an out don't appear and the odds drop significantly , instead of leaving the hand , they make a big bet/bluff instead , that I haven't understood yet how they do it or if it's profitable .
