I would go and deposit around $750 if that's the limit you are wanting to play, because you can lose ten of your buyins to variance and if you did, you would have around half your original amount and have to play at lower buyins. But I would play tournaments with a maximum of $5 with $250, but it is better to play tournaments with a maximum of $3.

If you plan on playing at multiple tables at the same time, I would probably deposit more than 250. If you just want to play from time to time, 250 will get you buy...and if you win one or so...then it wouldn't really matter how much you deposit. :) GL

Rule of thumb:
100 X Bb = bankroll. Ideal scenario for Bankroll Management.

About $1000. If you don't have as much you should play lower lever tournaments. Whatever you deposit, make sure it's not money you need.

Lol

To OP: depositing is not the problem sir it's how you manage that deposit. If you have a good brm plan in place which includes controlling tilting then you are good but if you are just beginning then try to deposit less.

I deposited $20 and just grinded up in cash games. Took a few days at a few hours a day to make it into $100, now wife can't moan about my spending!

If I deposited a few hundred $ the wife would go mental.

Getting some money from freeroll ii is the best way to start playing dude. You can do a nice BR without depositing... Just see it as a challenge to you. it is important at begginning to understand and pratice before playing with buy-ins.
It is an advice, just my opinion.

I recommend using 2% of your bankroll to enter tournaments, if you want to play $ 11 entry then your bank has to be approximately $ 550

If you dont have much experiance then i recomment you to deposit less money and try some micro cash games or 0,50$ SNG's and then litle by little you can try playing with bigger deposits and biggers stakes. : )

Do you want to purely gamble that $250? Or are you trying to start a poker bankroll?

I think $250 is fine. Play $1.10 SnG's until you get to $500......then you can play $2.20 until you get to $1000.....

That's proabbly how I would do it....

if you want to play 11$ buy in, you should deposit 1000$ because you just should to do 1% of buy in from your BR.

I would recoment to have 70-100 Buy-Ins

Hello friends, I would like to know much that is good for playing tournaments deposit 11us or so.

Hi man !

I am only poker novice but I would say that it is important to have 50-100 buy-ins in case of any tilt. So I would recommend you should have around $1000 in BankRoll to play $11 tournaments. I am not saying that you might end up doubting or tripling your $250 in month or earlier but the amount you have for those $11 is quite challenging. SO it is just up on your decision and also how can you deal with potential lost of whole BANKROLL.

ANyway Good luck man !

Oh-ma-god. $1000, for an $11 tournament?
Just play with whatever you can afford to lose. Only the pros need to worry about bankrolls.
