Hi everyone. NLHE 6 Max ZOOM cash game on pokerstars.
How much should I raise/re-raise preflop to not be outflopped by someone with a 2 pair or set but still enough so that someone calls?
I feel like 4BB's isn't enough to open raise with because players will call up to 7BB's to set mine but if I raise 8BB's who will call?
For example I was playing 5NL with KK in middle position. Someone from UTG raised 15 cents. I re-raised to 30 cents. Someone on the button called and UTG called as well. Flop was rainbow, all under cards. UTG checked and I bet 3/4 pot. Player on the button re-raised. UTG folded and I called. I was going to bet 3/4 pot again on the turn but realized I was going to bet more than half my remaining stack so I shoved. They called and happened to flop a set. Was this a bad play? Should I have check/called the turn instead?
