in such cases, I put the 4 bet. and then look at the responseIf I play against 4 oponents and make a trips on te flop. and there is a posible flush draw .
How much I have to bet ?
Well, do you mean 4 times the blind? If he's the first one to act he certainly can't 4 bet. A 4 bet means to be the 3rd person to reraise.in such cases, I put the 4 bet. and then look at the response
I think he was talking about trips not a set.Well, do you mean 4 times the blind? If he's the first one to act he certainly can't 4 bet. A 4 bet means to be the 3rd person to reraise.
But, here's my take on the question. I would first make sure it's top set before you get into a major pot battle, but bet no less than 2/3 the pot if it's a decent size, and no more than a full pot bet. It's way better to win that smaller pot then to make a small 1/2 pot bet and make it cheap for them to suck out on you. If you think they're on a draw, and they call and come up blank on the river then let'em have it! But even I have had a top set on the flop with AA, bet about 1/2 pot that time, and some idiot reshoves with a 10 7 high flush draw and gets lucky, so you always have to be careful. You can't win against people with no respect for the game. They turn their garbage into gold all the time.
Yeah you're right, my bad I just thought about it wrong, but I'd still play it the same way, but in this case you have to watch out for someone who has a set. You want to bet out any draws, but if you get into a pot battle in this situation it's best to keep it smaller in case you draw dead. It'll be much harder to put someone on a PP who's made his set in this scenario. I've lost plenty hands like that.I think he was talking about trips not a set.
