I play on Bovada and after 24 hours you can go back into your hand history and see every single players hands and what they folded. So I just recently starting recoding my games and would play through the whole thing back to see my mistakes. Does anyone do the same?or do you do it a little differently?

Hmm that is an amazing idea. I would like to start doing that as well but I play on pokerstars and their hand replay stuff doesnt seem as good. Need to use third party applications to replay the hands I think or maybe I am looking in the wrong place. Kind of a pain in the ass but probably worth it in the long run.

That maybe a good idea for some new players. For me though, I don't have the time to look back on all my hands, because every hand you play is going to be different in some way. I think what is more important is to better your style of play. Work on that and the mistakes will be less and less. I don't mean one day you won't make any mistakes again LOL. Like I won $250 on Tuesday and for the past 3 days I been playing like F it. Big Mistake. I don't need to be playing at all, and it's a mistake I been working on along time. Knowing the mistake is the first step. I know mine because I asked here at CC and found that I'm not alone GL to you

The only time I recorded anything related to online poker was last year when I played in a Cardschat Freeroll Club tournament at America's Cardroom/Black Chip Poker.I only recorded the start of the tournament and there were some inactive players(sitouts)that went all in before the flop and that really was the first time I've ever seen something like that happen.

I play mainly on BetOnline, and the hand review tool is pretty awful there.. I have considered just video recording the events instead.

Keep it doing I like it. You can also post on forum your hands and we will analyse them.

Way too much. Learning from history, yes. Over analyzing, no. For myself.

Think long, think wrong.

Better to use a compiler program and then just look at whatever results you want it to give you. This weeds out all of the useless hands you were involved in and dont need analyzed. This will save you hours of work.

Two of the most important stats that no one ever thinks about, and may dispute, are winning per position, and winning per time of day/week. Let these guide you the rest of the way.

What I've been doing is recording with a screen recorder and fast forwarding through the replay to questionable hands. If I see a hand that looks like it was played suboptimally I'll get the calculator out and figure out how to play it the next time around. Sure every hand is different but a lot of the concepts are transferable.

Try to record with OBS which is also for streaming. Its simple, you have hotkeys to start recording, stop recording. After recording your video is ready to open in video folder of your documents.

There are far too many for me to give any valid input into. Holdem Manager is good. Poker-Edge was great but for some reason they disappeared off the planet. It really depends on what you want, what kind of computer you have, and how much you want to spend. Do the research you will find one thats right for you.
