As many table as you have the capability to play good poker on and keep up with.

For me, I have tried several tables;but found that I can only keep up with one table at a time.

It is amazing how some players can play multi-tables. But, got to realize ones limitations.

safe poker:
1) play chips
2) real money freerolls
The above two are safe, as you cannot lose any money by definition.
Number of tables: as you like
Monitor your performance (ROI, $/hr) and adjust as per bank roll management.

It really depends on your capability, but as a beginner i suggest you to stick maximum on 2 tournaments, because you cant focus on more tables, even two tables are causing some problems, but i'm pretty sure you can manage it. So i would suggest you to stick to 2tables MTTs and you'll be cool.Good luck grinding buddy.

Hi.
Basically I play at the same time on two tables. Maybe because I have two monitors. If I start playing at the third table, then after a few minutes I lose the competition and as a result, there are still only two tables left.
Good luck.

That is strictly a player by player decision . I would start with two till comfortable ,then add . It's easy to keep up with multiple tables , but can you read all the opponents and make quality decisions fast enough . Good luck with your endeavor.

No more than 4 tables. You want to be able to focus on the table dynamics.

It certainly depends on your skill level and simply how fast you think. Speed and more tables comes with time. I wouldn't try more than 4, 2 would be better. I think it also depends on how you play. If you are a looser player it is more difficult to play more tables. You are going to be playing more hands which requires more attention. If you are playing tighter it is more simple to have extra tables because you are folding a lot more.

In cash games where I play fairly tight I play 6 tables because they fit on my screen (42") without an overlap and I'm folding a ton. Even though I'm comfortable with 6 and have been doing it for a long time I still find that I'll get like 3 hands all at the same time which is problematic. I have made mistakes.

When I play tournaments I don't play more than 2.

I’d personally stick with one table, and also one form of poker.

As a beginner myself, I’m focusing on cash games, so starting at micro $0.02/$0.04. Once I can crush these stakes, and my bankroll allows it, I’ll move up to $0.05/$0.10.

If you’re starting to learn, you should be reading books/ articles and applying what you have learnt. Then record your sessions, and compare it to what you have been reading/ the notes you have made.

Best of luck!

if you are a beginner, never play more than one table to learn.

For beginners, I would advise playing on the same table. Then you can estimate yourself how many tables you can play at the same time.

I think if there is no HUD program, then you can play simultaneously on 4 tables.

I would start with just one table, then when you feel comfortable playing add one more table. Don't play too many tables that you can handle, as you can stress yourself out, and you won't play your best.

I think that for the beginner will be enough 2 tables. When you learn to focus your attention on the tables then add more.

The thing with mutlitabling is that if you are a loosing player (and maybe learning and trying to improve) the more tables you play the more you lose...

If you get your strategy in place and you are sure with your game, just start adding as many tables as you can focus on and profitably play on.

I had a problem with this as I was not thinking deeply about the situations, constantly getting disturbed by the flashing and beeping tables.

Now I manage to play 6 tables at one and its pretty comfy, but at times it gets more rushy when the action just happens to happen at the same time.

Playing 2 zoom tables at the same time kept me focused and I had enough time to think about the situations so you might try that :)

It is more complicated than it seems to play in multitasking, as a beginner maximum 2 tables you need to concentrate all your attention on the range and levels of bets that you have to do in each table, until this type of skill is determined, it is not advisable to play in more tables

One table is enough. We are just beginers and our money needs to be well spent. Please don't play multiple tables or you'll spend lots of money.Prepare yourself first and then you can try to play at varios tables simultaneously.

For starters I would go with one. Rather than being bored with the lack of action, take the time to watch the game and figure out what's going on. If you have ample time to do that and are still bored by lack of action, add a table. Rinse and repeat. For me, 5 is the max but that is in large part due to my laptop screen size and the preferred size of the tables I want to play on.

Outside of that, it's just trial and error. Like I can play and track pretty well 3 NL tourneys and 1 PLO/PLO8 tourney, however I am completely incapable of playing even 1 PLO and 1 PLO8 tourney at a time. No matter what precautions (looking at the banner, sizing them differently, etc.) I always eventually screw up and cost myself. Now I just play one type at a time.

Of course you should only play 1 table if you are new. You really should focus on the game when you start out. Only start to multi-table once you become familiar enough with the common situations that 95% of your actions are automatic. You need to be able to do the quick actions so you can concentrate on the other tables where you are on later streets, and there's complicated actions taking place.

I play for fun, so I rarely play more than 3 tables. From zoom games .10/.20 or 0.25/0.50. If multi-table tournaments: a maximum of 30 participants, the byn is not more than 10 USD. If freerolls: only cardschat))))

Play as many tables as you can, as it is freerolls, you will have to call an all-in sooner or later, and out of 10 tables you can be happy if you stay with one or two.
The point here is, when you are trained to watch 10 tables, you will be amused, how focused you will be on every chipsound, movement or anything that happens in one single tournament, that you are going to play later. From the handling point of view, I agree with two to 4 tables at once would be fine, but come on, how many play Poker there? It's bingo and it stays bingo, until you struggled out of the mug. The only decision is: Are my cards good enough to go all-in?

I would recommend two regular tables for beginners. You can practice taking notes and gaining reads and you wont find yourself getting bored and entering to many pots.So sacrifice quantity for quality to begin with.
