Hey guys, how many do you invest in poker every month? Its a fixed deposit?
You play for fun or professionally?

I love to play at pokerstars but sometimes I think that I can't just put money, have to calculate deposits to do not lose a lot.

Let me know how you guys do.

one time in my life I deposited in poker. I play for the fun of multi-table tournaments and I get every month to win 40-50 dollars

Most of the times I play freerolls. When i win something i play payed tournaments. When my bankroll reaches Zero, i play freerolls again. It's a lot of fun.

Whilst i agree this is probably alot of fun, i imagine your bankroll will never increase if you are thinking...'it's ok WHEN i lose this bankroll i can just move back to frerolls'. Maybe next time you win a freeroll try working with a solid BRM to keep you in the paid tournaments and give you further earning potential! :)

Are you asking how much you should deposit every month to play poker? If you are, my answer for you is that you should not have to make but one, and then use good BRM which will help you play on that and build it up. GL to you

Didn't made any deposit until now. I'm playing only from those bucks which have been collected on free tours.

Guys tell me, for a beginner player whether it is necessary at the beginning of "career" :) replenish the deposit? Or better to play freerolls?

I think any player that is ready to try and get some where. needs to make that first deposit. It will help more than you may think/ It's something that you can lean back on. And at that point, keep playing all the freerolls you have been playing but add a MTT with a low buy in like $1 or $2 everyday.Or try a cash table and see how you feel there. GL to you

I've played online for 12 years and have never made a deposit. In the good old days, you got money ion your account just for signing up, so I built all that up into a bankroll.

Since black friday and the inability to play on pokerstars, I mainly play freerolls and for fun. I miss the big cashouts of the old days

Well in my opinion you should start with free chips and a goal. For example I will make 10000 Chips to 100000 chips in that you are going to be able to know what's your best mode to play, ko, tournament, or cash.

2. Free rolls and little bets in this step you should be able to find your "way to play"
3. Big tournaments to prove and yourself and perfect your technique

When I first started playing poker I kept on depositing $20 dollars here and there. I was very poor and had no control over my BRM. Eventually i decided on depositing $100 and I haven't deposited since. I suggest doing the same if you can and play micro stakes cash games ie 2nl whilst playing the freerolls available. I find the skill leagues are a great way to build a decent bankroll whilst grinding at the micros. GL at the tables.

While both arguments are sound, the point to remember is that when you make a deposit you need to be good enough (both at poker and BRM) to not lose it all right away (or ever for that matter). If you are just playing for entertainment, and can afford it, regular deposits are fine. I know people who treat poker like a weekly lotto or a weekly visit to play the VLTs at the casino, i.e., they have no expectation of winning and just pay to play.
