First of all short handed tables are where the money is at , you can play more hands and there are more cards left in the deck.

Use this site to find information on players at the table and rate them fish , rock , shark etc .

http://www.pokertableratings.com

If the table is full of super tight rocks it becomes a game of stealing blinds.

What you want is a table with at least 1 fish who is rated F and plays loose etc ..

Then do this to them .

Firstly when I saw flop I wasnt very happy to be honest for obvious reasons

Now if he was a good player he would have AK and have flopped broadway but he didnt raise so I suspected he might have been on a flush draw or he hit a pair .

I called to see what action he takes on turn, knowing he was a fish he would be turn if he has nuts or check with his flush draw. I hit a monster card on turn and slow played it to see if he was on flush draw or he flopped something good.

I decide he has a big hand and call to trap him on river .

The Ah on river was a really bad card for me, it made a flush , which I knew he didnt have and if he had AJ I was beat. However I went with my instinct and put him on a hand like KQ KJ K9 or J10 lol and moved all in.

Now if he had raised before flop I would have mucked my QJ and he would never have lost ...

I have no idea what you are talking about in this post. You have comments on a hand history that isn't posted. Most of the comments are really fishy anyway. I don't even need to see the hand to know that this is probably poorly played on just about every street from the comments and reasoning.

Seems to me you started with one thing and then you got lost and went to another thing

Your link took me to an empty window, but wait I'll try it one more time. Something happened. I got a blank window.again

How do you rate all the players at the table? Do you play at the table for awhile to determine who is who, and if you see they all are tight players, do you leave and find a table with that one FISH at the table.I just don't understand how you can rate a table full of players unless you play with them for awhile When I play, I'm not looking for fish, I'm looking for good players so I will know where I stand with them and most of the time there are those who don't really know how to play and they throw their money around the table, so if I get some of it ok, But the truth is that, good players money spends just as good as new players money.

What are your intentions for posting that one hand? What is the point? Is that an example of how you handle all new players? Do you get into pots with the other players? I'm asking these questions, because I truly don't understand what you are getting at. I'm a mental health patient and I'm real slow, so do you mind explaining some of this? That would really help Anyway, I hope you catch plenty of fish. I don't know what site you play on or what level you play at, but this is some thing I found out sometime ago, and you should watch out for them since you chase fish.. There are good players playing like fish, and trying to trap other players into big pots.Just be careful. You never know who is sitting next to you at the table. GL to you

Not sure about the goal of this post. Everyone wants to make money playing poker, but I wasn't able to get your link to work. Playing short-handed is fine if your style suits it (you aren't super tight). I agree that it is very important to figure out the various types of players at the table. I, personally, wouldn't stay at a table of super tight rocks...yes you can grind up by stealing the blinds, but I find it faster to score at a table with some fish. Just have to make sure your not up against a good player who is trapping. Not sure about the hand you posted. If your point was that you need to be able to "read" your opponents hand to make the most profitable play, then I agree. GL!

Easy: to make money by playing poker, you just have to win the hands at a ring table or place in tournaments that the prize will be bigger than your buy-in. :) If more serious, just work on your game more.

Just want to say sorry if I acted like an ass in my above post. Sometimes shit gets to me and I have to vent some when I find stuff that makes no sense at all. Either you are real or you are not. Things need to be believable for me to catch on. Like I said, I'm slow, but not much slips be me.
