Nonsense. Very few people can profit beyond 24/21, imo.

yeah i just posted random numbers because op asked a question that shouldnt be answered. you shouldnt be "trying" to play certain numbers and theres no magical numbers that equal winning.

(obv i know you know that but now op does too)

you should be raising your button almost everytime, if the pot is unopened. Thats a good place to start.

Those are some common figures.

When I do multitables. Sometimes one of my table is running like 10/5 which is too low. Some others is 18/15. Am I doing bad? Or I just not getting good cards? Or should I widen my range?

You definitely have to open your starting hand range. There is no magical number to get you there. After a few orbits on the table, you should have a feel for your opponents game. Better yet, watch the table you will be playing at for 15 minutes or so, you will see what kind of players are there, and the type of game you will need to play to be profitable

+1

Your opponent's play dictates how you should play. There really are tables that playing 60/50 or 50/40 is extremely profitable, especially when villains don't know how to correctly adjust.

But yeah, belgo's answer is definitely not a bad guideline

Have you played FR before?

If so play 6 max like FR with the first 3 seats folded.

You will find that this-in turn gives you looser stats than you had for FR.

So if you know about FR, then the thing to understand is that you are not trying to play any looser than in FR, your stats will increase because you are in position more often.

tough question

this question is situational dependent on how the other players are playing, what the blinds are and what your stack is. play opposite to how the table is playing if there's a lot of raising tighten up and wait for hands, if the table is passive play aggressive and pick up pots.

I havent played FR before when I started cash games. I already starts at 6max.

What does first 3 seats folded means?

It means that 6 max isnt looser than FR because its played any looser in the HJ, CO, or BTn.

6Max is looser because its played more like UTG in 6 max = MP in full ring.

Think of this logically.

6max..................full table
bb......................bb
sb......................sb
button................button
cutoff.................cutoff
hijack.................hijack
late middle.........late middle
------------...........middle
------------...........early
------------...........other early (10 seat tables)
------------...........UTG

As you can see, in 6 max, there really are no early seats. Especially when you technically think about how many people can even possibly challenge whatever you decide to do.

So in an unopened pot, even if first to at Your starting hands can be approximately equivalent to a full table in middle position.

thanks a ton i had the same question but was afraid to ask. was going to look up but you saved me the trouble.

No probs

So if you see a 24/15

it means he plays 24% of hands dealt and raises 15% of hands dealt

(you would assume that this means he plays the top 24% and raises the top 15%)

If you want to start getting a feel of what ranges look like then download this

http://www.pokerstove.com/

You will need to start looking into getting a HUD.

Look for HEM (holdem manager) and PT3 (Poker tracker 3)

That depends a lot on the way your opponents play!
If they play tight then you can play much looser...
