When playing zoom 2nl Zoom, where the players change every time, what should you do to quickly identify calling stations and fish. After all your hourly can probably double if you play more hands against identified fish instead of 5% range nits. I use the basic version of jivaro, so I only have vpip, pfr and afq. How can I use these numbers to identify fish?

Remember the table ID/Account name , who pays you often.
He/She is a big fish for you. play with him/her as many hands as you can.

Remember the table ID/Account name, who you pay too much
Avoid him/her, unless you have nuts/AA preflop only.:D, which you can brainless put for whatever he/she acts.

Fish generally play too many hands from the wrong positions. Also call too many raises with weak hands, then stay in the pot too long.

Do u really think that u can identify fish in such way, in freeroll? This guy maybe was on bb, u decided to slowplay to win more money and see the flop. Flop 7, K, 2 turn 7 and u lose. Is it was a preflop all-in? Do u play ur AA in right way? To little info in post to say who is who.

I don't have the time to identify fish and play against them hoping to win more money than I can against other players. I would rather play against good players than fish any day. At least I know where I stand with them and I can learn from them. Besides, fish win too, but if you believe they only play shitty hands, you could lose your whole stack just because you believe they are playing any two. To be real with you all, if you only target who you think is a fish, you are playing scared money. And I could care less how many toes I step on here. It's chicken shit poker and that is the real "disgrace to poker"

I have played a lot of Rush/Zone/Zoom poker and basically, I've decided that it hurts my bottom line. Even when I am playing at a site that supports HUDs (Bovada doesn't), it takes away some of my advantage.

I am not looking for good or bad players, specifically. I am looking for mistakes a player is making. Doesn't matter if the player is good or bad, overall, just what mistakes is he making at the table. The worse players will be making more mistakes, but even the decent players will be making some. Once I have identified a mistake someone is making, I do what I can to take advantage of it.

When I am playing Zoom-style games, I am not watching how hands play out. I am not seeing the mistakes someone is making after I fold. I don't know if they fold too much to turn barrels. I don't know if they call down too light without odds. I am missing their play. I can profit against them by playing a default style, but I am not making as much from them as I should be.

Basically, look for their mistakes. With the stats you have, you probably can't identify too many mistakes aside from playing too tight/loose preflop and maybe if they're playing fit-or-fold (low AFq is a hint unless they are passing calling station types).

Fish are generally people who do not understand many of the fundamentals of HoldEm poker, call with any two cards preflop, call without proper odds, will draw to losing hands (inside straight draw with 3 to a flush on the flop), will draw dead, and will call to the river on most hands.

I hope it wasn't me.

I recently decided to play a 7,2 as I have read that it's supposed to be the worst starting pair in the game. I wasn't short stacked and it was going to be just a fun call as I was playing tight and hadn't played a hand for a while. Imagine my surprise when the flop showed 7 10 2. So I raised. The turn showed a small card (can't remember) so I raised again. The river showed a face card but I figured as nobody had re-raised yet I would raise again. A nice addition to the stack.

Had anyone shown any suggestion that they had anything of weight I would have simply called after the flop, but nobody did. But having two pair wasn't going to be folded too easily.

Maybe the others thought that I was bluffing as the only "good" card after the flop was the 10.

It's not something I do as a rule though.

weak player in each league will be visible in the final places - because poker is not prolonged indefinitely happiness, heheh
WHEN IT COMES TO Earnings and striving to be PROFESSIONAL PLAYER TO ME I believe that percentage is spread more or less 45PROCENT WINNINGS TO 55 PERCENT bad CANCER, AND THESE POSSIBLY 5 PERCENTAGE OF LUCK MAKES TIME vary, but broadly similar IS TOTAL good and bad hands - In POKER In the long run COMES TO WHO IS WHO weak A GOOD PLAYER - and this can be easily observed by observing PLAYERS IN DIFFERENT competition, WHERE IS to play like NUMBER OF GAMES AND AT THE END OF THE MONTH IS example, a table with pOINTS

Fish

Fish play mostly from very bad positions... You can clearly see who is a fish if he/she calls a high bet while in a very bad position :)

I know that this is not the right answer but it's related with the topic. I read somewhere that if you couldn't recognize after some rounds who is the fish at the actual table than You are that! :)

Very easy to identify the fish :
1)Persistent\common limps - a desire to see the flop cheaply and you can get to it
2)bet sizing - regulars rarely Stabat less than 1\2 the Bank after the flop, the fish is going to put min. blind, or a big overbet
3)Bake in the chat))

I've read somewhere that fishes in general usually play faster, meaning that they are only playing that game, and not more than one simultaneously

I'm not that sure if we can rely on that, cause there are a lot of good players who may play like 4 games at the same time and be very quick to act in every one of them
