How did I win this hand?

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering How i won with Double Aces when my opponent had 3 of a kind tens? Shouldnt it be the other way around?

(I am new to poker)

Because you won the side pot, not the main one. The main pot was won by bozerbuster, which was only 845 chips so it looks like you won it all, but its not.
Still a nice pot though

Thats one side pot I wouldn't mind winning

that is because the villain with three of a kind tens was a short stack and had very little chips. Even the one with six ten offsuit was a short stack. So there were two short stacks in the hand, which is why there was one main pot and two side pots.

Look at the size of the main pot which villain with three of a kind tens won. It is so much smaller than the two side pots which you won.

Why is that exactly? Is it because the player with 1010 was shortstacked? Or is it because he was able to fade the outs of the other hands? Or was it because he was able to get it in with AA vs. the likes of hands like 10 6 off and K 5 off? Just curious, what (in your opinion) makes you say "Now tell me luck does not matter at poker, you were very lucky."

bozerbuster is all-in with less money u`ve put there.

basically because he invested 200 chips he doesn't win the full 9100, that would be pretty fun if that rule got lifted, i'd buy-in in for a cent at 2000NL

He was lucky that the guy who beat him had so few chips

And of course the guy who beat him was even luckier that he sucked out on the best hand. Luck is the only way I win so I recognize it when I see it

opponent didn't double.....he ~ quadruppled.
Wonder why these 2 others are in there, but that's the reason PO won a big amount here.
PO picked up 2 side pots, because of those other 2 players, which PO beats.

You beat shamurai12 and bomber733. Bozerbuster beat you, but he didn't cover you.

you won the main pot and other players with 10 has less chip than you thats why u won that pot lol

It is because the side pot goes to you and the main pot went to the guys with shortstack who had the three of a kind.
