Read, Understand, Implement, Learn.

Well there is a lot of stuff online that you can go through. Also you have to look into your game and find out what are the leaks in your game. For this you have to analyze your game and find out which stage you went wrong and how. What were the hands that you lost that where did you go wrong in those hands and how could have played it better.

Lots of people do read a lot of stuff which is just the beginning. If haven't read much try the strategy articles here at cardschat, then there is pokerschoolonline, various books to choose from, i would recommend "the raiser's edge" by elky.
And always keep an open mind so that you can keep learning.:coffee:

If you want to improve your skills at online poker I can recommend to play more matches. You will see how the most people are used to play and what hands are worthwhile. I think that I myself improved my skills most of all due to playing. For example I haven't really know how to play cash games till I tried it myself and saw how my strategies are.

Read lots of poker strategies.

Must have a foundation of poker theories.

Then apply those theories by hitting the table. As the saying goes "Experience is the best teacher".

almost every famous player has a huge collection of books in their book rack mainly poker related.
No coincedence,

Keep watching, playing you'l pick up from watching commentary with pros in the commentary room, listen to youtube advice.
and gripsed videos on youtube to learn position and range

Most importantly implying the ethics of each individual player, and the traits and likelyhood of outcome.
Basically You get stereotypical betting patterns and traits..once you learn them that can take you so far.

but I think after 100NL
You need to seriously know your s*** to excell

As many have already said, there are a lot of resources to help you improve.

There are many good books but you should be careful when buying any. The different writers all have different styles, some go into great depth on Poker Math, which is important, but if you are not particularly mathematically minded these books can be confusing when you are a beginner, save those for the time when you have grasped the fundamentals. If you can, read a little of any book that you are thinking of buying. If you belong to a library, you might be able to borrow the books for free, if not, sites like Amazon, and I'm sure there are others too, have a "Look Inside" feature that allows you to read a small part of many books. Whichever way you do it you should try to make sure that you can get on with the writers style.

There are lots of Poker Forums like CardsChat that have tutorials and articles on strategy. Join a few till you find one that seems to help you most.

There are absolute shed loads of videos on YouTube, some of them are part of training series and some are better than others. Try to find a series where the presenter explains why they are doing what they are doing. I personally like the ones by 'Gripsed' but there are lots more. Once again it is important to find ones where the presenter doesn't annoy you in some way.

A couple of people have mentioned analysing your play, which is fine and very important, if you know how to do it properly which is much harder when you are a beginner. Once again YouTube can come to the rescue. There are several videos on 'Hand analysis' on there.

All of these things take up a lot of time and you haven't played any poker yet. :) That is the most important part of the learning process, you have to put into practice the things you have read about or seen. There is a story about Arthur Rubinstein ( a famous classical pianist, in case you didn't know). Apparently, he was approached in the street near the Carnegie Hall in NY by a man who asked, "Pardon me sir, how do I get to Carnegie Hall?; to which he replied, "Practice, practice, practice!

I'm sceptical inclined about reading books. I suggest watch pro's playing - EPT, PCA, WSOOP and just get experience - play MTT's and freerolls. Few months and you'll be ready to start play on real money tables.

You should observe your play and see the videos of professional players playing EPT ,wsop ,etc. How they play their hands in different style depending on their opponent whether its loose or tight . You have to understand your opponent read their style and always remember that in poker you have to minimize your lose and maximize your winnings. So if you won a pot don't think you have played it beautifully always think of maximizing your profits in these hands . Replay your hands and see where you can change(increase and decrease) your betting .

Watch a ton of these videos , you will get better. However there are some common leaks that you will have to fix by yourself in order to really take your game to next level. NO PATIENCE leak , EGO leak, if you have them , plug them ASAP. your winrate will thank you :)
Gotta agree with this post, because I've watched all of Evan (gripsed) videos on his youtube channel. It helps you improve, gives a different understanding of the game, and there are tournament reviews which are fun+educational.

The way I improve is reading this forum and play freerolls.

Everytime I discover something new I bring in to the game in a freeroll.

That way I improve without risking anything at all.

There used to be a commercial for Full Tilt and there was a quote, something along the lines of, "The nights we lose are the nights we learn the most." Everyone plays different. Just pay attention and play based on how everyone else plays.

I spent one season in Cardschat League and I feel that improved my game more than anything else I've done so far, particularly in the area of reading opponents and post-flop play. I feel that reading and study will only take you so far, you have to get as much experience as possible because a lot of what you read won't really make sense until you've faced that situation yourself with money on the line.

You'll learn so much by just playing, and in my experience CardsChat took my game to a whole nother level, sharing hands, and receiving and taking on board advice and constructive criticism from better players really improved my game.

Read up lots and put in volume. Also, analyze key hands that you have played to see if you could have done anything better.

If you really want to improve your poker skills first you have to define them, and by defining them i mean realizing what are the important skills to learn (for example corporal language if playing live, or calculation [of odds, of outs, of chances, etc.], how to bet in each situation, psychological skills, social skills (useful when many people call a hand)).
That's the first step, once you know what you have to learn to be the best poker player it's just a matter of studying and practicing, and of course of not forgetting. That's the way to learn with organization which will surely lead you to efficiency, but it exclusively depends on you, how you learn each stuff you propose.
Be proactive in the search of knowledge, look everywhere, not just poker related, but in another areas also. And the key to success is to always stay motivated, so maintain the motivation stable at a high status (homeostasis). This is my personal advice, which of course needs polishment, but i hope you get the idea.

Post hands here hiding the end action. Explain each and every decision and why you made it. Comment on the other players range of cards and what their bets mean. Explain what your bets may look like to an opponent. You can play perectly, but the cards will still run out against you. But that is poker. Focus on your opponents for that hand. Don't worry about the money. It will come.

Simply put, the best way to learn is by playing and learning from mistakes.

Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect ;)
