So! It's a commodity that is required in plentiful supply to play poker. Sometimes you have it and other times you don't. Sometimes, having had it you lose it, for a variety of reasons.
I'm talking of course about patience.
It may be that you have set your self up to play a tourney and after an hour or so being card dead, your focus starts to wane and you start thinking of ways of pushing the play a bit. One or two hands later, during which time your plays have not paid off, your patience is taking a serious dent. It may also be that having decided to play tight in the first rounds of a tourney and even though you play perfectly, your plays have not held up and you are haemorrhaging chips. Your patience is suffering .
What I'm wondering is how do you deal with the loss of patience. Do you have any coping strategies that others may be able to learn from, or have you got funny (maybe not so funny at the time) stories from which we can learn a little more.
I would love to hear what you can offer in this important subject, especially for beginners.
Thanks
BB
