What tells/signs do you put on the conclusion
Your opponents are/have been exploiting your game?

Thank you in advance.

PS: if you are sitting in front of Phil Ivey, no need to say, you are been exploit

I do not always understand when i'm being exploited :p:p:p Most of the time I play freeroll MTTs , in those when i'm short stacked I feel like somebody is taking advantage of my stack size and exploiting me. also sometimes it happens to me that, with a particular player I lose quite a few hands marginally, then he gets into my mind, may be then i start throwing off the best hands with him

When you are tight and most of the time, he is raising when youre the big blind.

At HU, if he is slowly grinding your chips away, for sure he is exploiting you.

I allow my opponent to exploit a bluff on purpose, to give him the idea that im going to protect my hand and show that im willing to put in chips when i dont got it or when i do got it. Most of the time, i see loose players 3 bet preflop in or out of position early in tournaments to get a edge on how weak or strong an opponent is. So to counter it, i find it easier to play nitty if the table is allowing it, or i play when they don't allow it. But to exploit an opponent, you should check your hud stats and analyze their range of bluffing a hand on certain streets. Also itll give an advantage to mathematically bluff out a weaker hand because you believe that they will fold if you put em on a decision. watching betting patterns on how they bet high pair, 2 pair, sets and draws is a must. taking notes on how they act against you vs your opponent, they might be playing each player the same way or individually different.

Same problem for me for being too tight sometimes that I get exploited and lose many chips. My game has improved from those times though.

Well I am a losing player but I think you should look for people who multi table ? (at the lower levels )
I assume that in order to do that they must have stats on us and just play a hand made specifically for us (as in to exploit us )
To elaborate : say I have quite a big Cbet fold rate, I assume that if they have that stat on me they will Cbet me quite a bit.
Also, I guess generally any style of play made to "crack" yours is exploiting you ???
I mean if you are a rock they could try to steal blinds, if you are a rather loose player they could wait for the nuts and then let you dig your own grave etc ?
Not sure if I got this right though

Your HUD stats are the easiest way to know if you are being exploited. If you have a high fold to 3 bet and you see someone who keeps 3betting you over and over again, this could be because your playing like a nit or too straight forward. Try mixing up your game in some spots so that you are not easily exploited by the good players.

When you encounter someone to your left frequently 3betting your raise then that's a tell tale sign that he is trying to isolate you on the table so that he can play against you in position. (And when playing out of position it is easy to get exploited).

A player may use various strategies to exploit someone. Different players have to be dealt with or exploited differently.

1. For instance when you know someone is playing scared money it is easy to blow them off their hand as they will often fold unless they have something big.
Other strategies like firing multiple barrels against a weak opponent. C-betting, donk betting, check-raising, smooth calling in position, button raise are few other tactics used to exploit someone on a poker table.:shot:

When your hand can be accurately read, you are definitely being exploited.

Someone will think your mistake, just like you fold rate at river is too high, or you VPIP is too high, and call too much, then at that time they will exploit you.
In my opinion, you can use some poker track tool to analyze your data like that, then adjust them.

If so then you need to change your game and adjust to a particular opponent.

If you suspect someone is exploiting you then it's highly like you are beig exploited.
You know you are being exploited:
1. if every or most times you raise someone re raises to isolate the so it's just you and them in the pot (usually the same 1 or 2 people, maybe even 3 if you are on a v god table)

2. if every time you raise and end up going to showdown a good player tables something ridiculous like J5 suited for top or middle pair, they did not call you for the flush, they called you to outplay you post flop, the if the flush came then hey... but that wasn't why they called your raise with J5

3. if someone seems to have your number every time and you are having to fold before showdown most of the time and they seem to be folding the one time that you have a hand. (this type of exploitation means they have a solid tell on you, the best thing you can do is try to figure out what that tell is, but that is a difficult thing to do unless you have a friend that can honestly tell you if you have tells at the table, the second best thing is to find one position that you will sit in and 'robotize' yourself, have very limited movements, put your chips in the same way every time, take roughly the same time each time, find a spot you will stare at every time you are in a hand, be in complete control of every movement you make, (this is for live play, I'm not much of an online player but some of this should be helpful online too

For online you also want to watch your betting patterns (including time taken) don't play your draws the same way you play your TPTK.

Try to always have position or control of the hand when against someone you suspect is exploiting you, Be a bit mysterious, check raise someone you feel might be exploiting you when you have nothing 9+ outs, but don't give them the stare down or alert them that you are aware of them exploiting you, allow them to win insignificant pots, and try t take the ones that matter.

If you feel you can't outplay them, just be real with yourself, it'll save you money and avoid getting in pots with them where you don't feel you are ahead.
