The basic weapon is patient. You play and if tilt occures, you behave with composure, being as calm as you can. It is something natural, it comes it passes, so think in the long term wins will come. Poker is a mathematic sequence!:bike:

breathe, change music, do some jumping jacks or pushups if I need to, and keep telling myself that tilting as never helped.

know what's a cooler story than tilting and punting off the rest of your stack? staying ice cold, chipping back up, and shipping it!

Just before final table and final table some players are raising, someone going all in without holding any high rank card and someone is called with AK, AQ and lost, some trying to bluff by playing pfai and they win.
After becoming chip leader they are not giving any chances to other players to call.its make me impatience and after so many call whenever i call with high, card , top pair i loss..

Learn how not to tilt is one of the most important skill that you can develop to be a successful poker player. In my experience, it helped me to accept that bad beats will happen (and a lot) and I just should keep playing making the right decisions. And when I’m really in a bad run, I stop to play for 1 or 2 days to calm me down.

If you can refocus right away, that's cool, go with that. If you feel you are not playing your best game because you tilt, go away from computer for some time even though it's a tournament.

It's better to lose some blinds than to lose your entire stack :)

Tilt Control

There is no worse feeling than tilt. Once you go on tilt shut your computer down and do something else. I think that the most money I've ever lost is when I was on tilt. Looking back at the hands It looks like a "calling station bluff maniac" was in control of my brain.

i found that it was easy to stop tilting when i stopped focusing on individual, short term negative results and focused on making +ev decisions.

if you get your money in +ev spots, you win more in the long term. there is no other way to spin it. if you're in a situation where you have 80% equity, well you're winning 80% of the time. if you're guaranteed to win .80 out of every $1, why are you upset about or focusing the .20 you're losing?

results don't matter in the long term, your +ev decisions do.

when I'm on tilt. I fold all my hands to give myself time to regain my composure and thus make the right decisions. you have to focus on the present moment and think about the best way to play each spot. if a player prevents you from playing your A game. we must avoid playing against him. when your opponent is on tilt you should take advantage of it and not hesitate to call or bet to take all these chips from him before he takes over these spirits.

By remembering and improving.Let's face it when you enter the tilt you only have one way of finishing it on the table. So what can you do beside losing all your chips?Always remember the situation which led you tilt,if you cannot remember it write it down as much detailed as you can so you can remind yourself of that same situation multiple times after you get back to your sense. Why?Very simple, you are repeating and remembering that situation so when that same situation start slowly to rise again next time when you are at the table you can be fully alerted of that and when you are fully alerted it should be pretty easy to discard that "tilt call" and to keep playing your top game.

By replaying in my mind why I play poker. It is not about results or making money, it is to make best possible decisions. Everytime I lose big pot to fish, it is good thing, because A: I will get that back with interest and B: my profits come from fishes, they need sometimes to get some chips to stay in poker. I am here for keeping fun, when poker stop being fun, I just quit.

Thread winner....lol. ^^^^^

I can't see any answer better than OSMB's reply.

I can only add that when you play long enough you get used to the bad beats and then curse and laugh when it happens, because it is going to happen many many times, and then focus on the next hand, you can't change the outcome of passed hands, just make notes if need be and move on and keep trying to make +ev decisions.

Tilt is for losers.

I think the best way to do that is to sit out the table a little bit or keep yourself busy with someone else. The important thing is not to think about the game, because then you can make bad decisions.

When always thinking I'll make an opposing player fall a tilt and playing, there is also a way of thinking to which one says that it's difficult to become a tilt.

Just in case, by reference.

Once you play enough tournaments and you take enough bad beats you begin to understand the variance.
