Seriously how do you beat them? They call with mid or bottom pair and get lucky on the turn or river. I've tried betting the pot/over betting/ 6xBB raise.
I don't know what else to do:icon_scra

Any friendly advice on how you beat calling stations would be appreciated :)

Have something.

If you can't beat a player who takes the worst possible strategy (only putting money in when you want to put money in), then you can't beat anyone. Don't worry about bad beats in the short run, in the long run you will profit. Also, the long run is a lot longer than you think.

Are you talking early, middle, late stages?

I play my big hands pretty hard, so if they want to waste their money, I certainly let them. Yes it sucks when they draw out, but if you get it in when YOU'RE ahead, that's al you can hope for.

Be aggressive. If you are really aggressive then it "should" get rid of them. If not, if you hit your top pair just push, I do and if they call you often have them beat. Of course you're getting sucked out sometimes but long term, you're winning. I love playing calling stations.

As others have said already, you just play your good hands hard. The main thing is to know that you cannot bluff a calling station. But you can hammer them with your good hands, and in the long run, you will be well ahead. Don't price them in (not that they know what it is). If they call a big bet with a mediocre hand, that's their mistake, not yours. No matter who ultimately wins the hand.

If they suck out, so be it. But that's a results-oriented evaluation, not evaluating in terms of the +EV play.

If, at the end of the hand, you played it as well as you could, that's all you can ask for. While one would love to win every hand, it's not going to happen. The goal is not to do anything stupid when you do play.

It can be hard to take in the short run. But keep making those +EV moves.

Had to laugh at that.

Also I'm not sure if it's been said, but tilt can easily kick in with these types so make sure to monitor yourself in that sense. I know it can easily get to me when it comes to these players on a bad day..... start raising every hand they're in, tell yourself they can't hit every flop, yada yada yada, I'm busted from the tournament and pissed off...don't make the same mistake!!!

Like others said, keep your range tight and ahead of theirs, and just milk them for value. Game Over.

Sometimes within inches of their lives.... but 'it depends' of course.

Some of the adjustments you need to make in micros vs. stations can seem pretty insane... cuz once they've put anything in the middle preflop.... they'll almost always call! When I'm playing & see a guy who's really f'n loose & he's limping often.. or has called a raise, etc.... instead of typical 3x +1x per limper (or whatever)... I'll raise it up much more than this.... or if they've limped & I'm raising... I'll even go 7x... cuz they WILL call!

Just valuetown the hell out of them.
