How do I play this kind of player?

Today I went out to the casino closest to me that runs a small cash game (literally only gets a full table on weekends). It was me heads-up against this older guy. The blinds were 1$/2$ and the max buy in was 200$ with a house rake of 5% per hand unless it was under 20$ (which the house didn't take a rake for if there were 3 players or less). We both bought in for 200$ and started playing, and he would literally play blindly, going on "intuition" and never checking his hand unless I shoved to big bets with my big hands.

How do I beat this kind of person? I ended up winning 50 bucks off of him (and 200 off of another guy that came to the table during our game) by literally shoving on him anytime he bet 20% or more of his stack without looking at his hand and I had something remotely strong (like AK and a flopped K). I mean I beat him today because I got semi lucky (KK and AK twice apiece in the span of 10 hands), but I don't want to shove with him getting a monster on me, or lose to him on something stupid.

That's a bold strategy Cotton. I'd love to see him play HU with that guy in Vegas who literally plays while his hole cards are face up on the table.

i would be patient with that guy, would hunt his stack and use his stupidity. You go to casino to gamble right? so you are ready to risk at least your 200$ when you go there, so that old guy is the best choice to risk against with and your chances are significantly bigger that his ;) so, be patient and crush that guy ;)

Well unfortunately,

Luck plays a hand against this guy.. I'd play patiently.. any pocket pairs 9 and higher/AK/AQs (hell if the raise isn't high any pocket pair would do.. ) = calling his raises and seeing the flop.. if i connect.. get his chips in the pot.. that's how you'll have to earn the chips.. and make up for all the money you lost in the blinds while folding the majority of hands.

I won't do the way to keep the pairs or AK suited to shoot against him. I prefer to risk my hand can flat call him. That's the only time to rip him off in 1 shot if he liked to bluff you at the end! Coz I had that experience to rip him off like that with trash hand ( 10 4 off suited) also, what's the point to scare of his stupidity if he mostly hand up the trash hand?

Just played HU SNG against this type of a guy, lost with AhQh against Qs5d. Of course I got little angry, but said to myself that in the long run I will win with how I play now, not how like that gambler.

Its simple, just be patient.

You want to put all your money with him if you have premium hands preflop or have nuts/seminuts postflops.
