Or well, how do I know I am better than most would be a better question.

Is it when I consistently get into the money in big tourneys?

Or is it simply when I make more money than I lose?

When my bankroll keeps growing?

What would you say I would have to achieve to consider myself better than rest, consider myself a good poker player?

You need at least 6 months to check if you are successful or not. Swings are something very usual in poker. You may enter into a final table in a 3 tournaments in a row and then in the next 3 months to not be able to enter into the money.

Bankroll is the best way to see if you are successful or not.

I agree. If your bankroll keeps growing then you are a good player. True you need a little luck too, but if you have good tactics you won't need that much luck. :)

There is a poker test in a thread somewhere on cardschat, i think sharkscope even has an ability number that shows your poker ability, the best player on ACR has 99 ability. I would search yourself and see what it says. If your bankroll is growing and you cash a lot, your doing fine.

I thought I was a good poker player until I started studying it. Then I realized I have so far to go. And the proof is in the lack of bankroll :)

Buy a poker tracker, after 6 months or a year check and see you roi % and itm %. then once you have those numbers you can better judge where you are at.

When you begin to lose almost all all-ins with more than 70% pros. of success (AK vs AJ for example). System (you can laugh here) considers you as successful reg and tunes randomizer against you. This way room equates balance between regs and fishes what is more profitable for itself.

As colleagues have said above, the best way to know if you are a good player. It is through time, practice, your banckroll, achievements. Especially graphics.

Easy answer

if you clearly know , others are bad, and where are their weakness to lose money.
you are good.

there is no need to play or not, just sitting there by watch them play, you will clearly have a image, where your skill stand and what's profit comes from.
then you are good. or else ....not good.

Personally, I look for prize-winning places occupied by me in tournaments, certainly not small role and number of losses and wins, and most importantly ,when you play with a weaker hand and be forced to pass the opponent with a strong hand,it is also an excellent result as no small role in poker is a bluff

IMO, i think you just have to check first if your profiting, then check how much your profiting against the time played you used to earn that profit.
Compare that to a pay of a regular job and if your getting more, your a good player.

You can consider yourself a good player from the moment that has a lot of tournaments played and you are making money, increasing your BR with a large sample of tournaments played

Its really a matter of how many hands to reflect back on,I would say 25K hands at the said level if it is cash. If it it MTT then you can pretty much just gauge off winnings. But min cashes are not the same as deep runs,it takes a different game to go deep,as opposed to just min cashing.

Of course as well as everything in our life is relative. And games in in poker watching our level to whom to compare. Everyone has the level: someone plays on conditional counters, someone on microlimits, someone won the first tournament, someone won several tournaments online, and someone plays steadily in +. Therefore I consider a question rhetorical. It is necessary to estimate critically the results and not to be satisfied with what has already been achieved. I wish to be the good player.

I consider that the main thing which can define pro player is his bb/100 hand or ROI

I do take record on my poker day, for example ROI, number of played hands, how did I play those hands, etc...

On the other hand, people who plays with me day by day knows my image on the table and they would play carefully against me

it is advisable to play for time scheduled because if you put yourself to play out of control most of the time will come out losing for trying to recover a small fraction of a loss
