I know that 5.2% of flops should contain 3 of a suit but what do you do when this 5% starts being 80%? hands like AA KK AK QQ and the like start being almost wothless if neither one of them do not match a suit on the flop. It doesnt do this 10 times in a row but it will do it 4 outta 5, skip a few hands and start doing it again. Even if the flop is 3 of a suit 4 out of 10 times, it is still +34.8% higher.
How do you play when you have KK and 3 other people call preflop and most of the time all 3 have an Ace in their hand and board flops the last Ace 30% of the time or more when you do not have an Ace?
I am fairly new at the game but since I started learning about the percentage certain cards should flop, I have kept a record of flops and I guess I really don't understand how flops can run in bunches like 4 outta 5 times, stop for a few hands then do it again. Does not this Random Number Generator thingy really work?
All in all it is hard for me to get a strategy by looking at my hand and deciding if it is worth playing or not when the flop percentages of certain hands run 100's of percents above normal for stretches. Very hard for a new player to learn the game. I started playing poker for the first time in Jan of this year and I only play in tournaments. I have won 10 tournaments (most tournament fields were around 300) and have cashed in another 12. I play on NLOP CardPlayer Poker. I even got to 30th place on a Carbon Poker $50 freeroll with 2600+ players (won a whole $.30. ha ha) Grand total of $427.80. My cost $0.00 That just proves that anybody can win a tournament and like the guy says in the forum " a broke clock is right twice a day"
