How to control you bankroll

In order to control your bankroll, you need first to control you�re nerfs. If you are nervous, you will lose all your money very fast.
If you are a tournament player, play the tournaments where the buy-in is 2% of your bankroll, if you lose don�t increase the bet.
We always think about increasing when we lose, this is a huge mistake to think like that.

Definitely if you manage to control your bankroll ... you will be able to stay for a long time playing poker ... that is the key to staying in the game day after day ... "

I have trouble maintaining my place, for example today I was 17 of 200 by the time there was 85 players I had lost all my chips. Playing $1.50 tournaments lost almost everything, out of 25dlls I ended up with 68 cents. I try but just can't figure out the right equation. How to control you bankroll

Bankroll Control,
1. only spend what your can lose without it damaging your BR.
2. Don't chase your losses, odds say you will lose more often than you win. So if you lose, write it off, sunk cost, shut the session down, there's always a new game the next day.
3. Don't chase away your gains; when you win, place a good percentage of the win in BR, play the rest.

I just sell everything I earn from $ 50.I have a very addictive personality that is why before losing everything I sell it and use the money to pay bills or treat myself

With just 25$ you have a budget rather than a bankroll, and its fully expected, that you will lose the money most of the time. If you are playing for fun, and you are ready to pump another 25$ into the account when needed, then this is fine. Just dont play for money, you cant afford to lose.

However if you want to play for profit and eventually move up, then you need to start with a more reasonable amount of money, which will allow you to continue to grind, until you hit a significant upswing. Depending on the field size a reasonable bankroll for 1,5$ tournaments can be between 100$ and 500$. 100$ would be for 9-man SnGs or anything smaller than that. 500$ would be for large field MTTs with 1.000+ players.

this is great advice. I will add that when the variance is not on your side. it is better to stop playing and come back later to have the luck of hitting a better game

I don't have a bankroll, I'm studying a little bit about the game and trying to create a grid to try to take the game a little more seriously.

Depending on the level of the player, it is possible to make a different management in the levels that you are already able to overcome more easily, and leave a stricter control where you do not have this capacity, something like a 20 buyins control for the levels that you are able to, afterwards 50 for the middlemen and 100 for where you still can't beat the field so easily.

from experience, one cannot think that the big hit will arrive in the first week of grind.
if you have to think about always staying in the game and learning, and then when the opportunity arises you will be prepared for the turn !!!..

I do have strict rules , to control tilt , with casino I might lose it , so I input stricter rules , I did it recently with Stars casino , and seperated poker and casino bankroll . This is onemore good protection measure . Having rules like 100 buyins for tournaments , or more , also 50 (I think) for sngs , help you not to buy for very expensive and lose control . Basically , I like satellites , the freerolls and the winnings I have from them , I spend patiently my winnings , until I become a better player . When I see a downswing in results , i step away , I have seen it leads nowhere to keep on playing , maybe it is the stress , maybe the tiredness , maybe the bad game choices , other factors , the best is to close poker lobbies , call it a day , save your bankroll , or else the game gives you anxiousness How to control you bankroll

I always follow the bankroll management system and never risk what I can not risk. I spend no more than 1-2% of my bankroll per day, and this is why my bankroll is constantly growing.

It depends on which games, you are playing, your winrate and how willing you are to tolerate swings and move down if needed.

The bankroll needs to be at least 100 buy-ins. For example, if you have a bankroll of $ 100, then you should play for $ 1

I have heard this 1% nonesense so often.

Tournaments,,,especially big field tournaments...are very high variance...it takes an immense amount of run good to get a decent roi. For players on a small bankroll...ie less than 100$..they should be a luxury...paid for with set aside winnings from cash games.

if a player can't beat 1c2c or 2c4c cash tables, ..study is required to get better.... and entering tourneys at any level is an indulgence.

a bankroll should be split...cash table roll...and tourney roll.

one should play the highest stakes...cash tables... that one can regularly beat. But that requires objectivity...self analysis...discipline...

most players think they are better than they are...and think they are only losing players because of worse players sucking out on them. This is bullshit. Losing players are losing players because they are losing players. Most players are losing players...otherwise there would be no winning players.

Study...be objective...know thyself.
