If you are a new player, it's best to play at the lowest stakes (1-2 cents). You can make a minimum deposit. Or play freerolls to get a starting bankroll, but usually it takes a long time.

hmm but to play cash you need to play good in order to make money even in low stakes, i've had bad experienced playing cash maybe because i suck playing cash hehe.
it's easier to make a bankroll playing frerolls and then spending money in micro games but if you have confidence in cash games you can try it.

At any limit, the golden rule of the bankroll operates: to take 2% of the amount with you to the table in your account.

Micro stakes

I just enjoy playing poker and generally £10 will last Me a month with me playing most nights. I love the thrill of playing so stick to micro stakes whether u win or lose.

bankroll building

Começe em mesas baixas e depois que ficar eficiente nelas e tiver uma quantidade boa em dolares aumente as mesas para jogo

Mas é importante paciência torneios sit go também são muito importantes para construir bankroll

My friend, if you are learning poker right now, actually no need to deposit. You can try to use "playmoney", to learn action, learn different spots. Also as someone already said, you can win real money in freerolls! Alot of freerolls are available in almost every poker room, there you can learn real tournament games, the same level is at micro stakes and at cash games also.
Good idea can be just to observe cash games at lowest stakes, even if you have no winnings from freerolls yet. You can explore your future opponents, style of playing at the stakes etc. Good luck bro

To the OP: Are you brand new to poker, or just making your first foray into online play?

If you're pretty new to poker I would start with a small deposit of $50 to $100 and start playing the smallest cash game stakes available - most likely 1c/2c.

The truth is that play money is not a very good way to go unless you literally don't even know the rules yet. The player pool tendencies are super different from even the smallest real money stakes online. So you're better off dusting a bit at micro stakes while learning the ropes.

I don't recommend playing play money to anyone.

If you are truly new, I'd stick to free rolls until you get enough to play in a cash game. I'd even recommend watching the table while you wait for a seat.

If you have some experience under your belt, I would buy in for at least 50 buy ins of whatever stakes you feel you want to play.
