Notice I didn't say survive because I believe you have to stay aggressive. But I'm interested..

How do you beat the bubble consistently?

Yeah the bubbles, specifically for the 2 table double-ups and satellites.

Everyone bubbles out sometimes, it's unavoidable.

Lawrence Welk bubbled every week. (Google it kids).

really impossible question to answer. your going to have to study/ do research of your own to get game theory on bubble situations. sometimes it can be correct to play aggressive, sometimes you have to play extremely tight, in some double or nothing situations it can be correct to fold kings and queens pre flop.

simply put: when everyone else is tightening up, how do you win? I haven't figured out how to beat that yet, I end up playing TAG all tournament and so many 3-bets make me the small stack. Then the blinds eat me up from there.

if players tighten up, raise more, but raise smaller, sometimes you don't just have to shove all in. minimize the risk, because when tight players 3bet you, they probably have a better hand than you do.

if certain players are attacking your 3bets, start opening a little tighter, and calling a little wider. or in some spots you can just limp, and take the 3betting weapon away from them.

hope this helps, but every situation is different, i'd have to wrtie a book to cover all the stuff you need to know to get really good!

post the games you play, i'll have a look at structure.

I think beating the bubble has to do with playing only premium hands and once you get them take the chance and push especially if your short stacked. If you have a pretty healthy stack I would sit back and let everyone else take them out unless you have premiums.

Another trick I have used is to let your time max out before you make a decision (mainly if short stacked) this way you get fewer blinds and antes. Keeps you in longer and gives the other players time to get KOed.

Good luck at the tables and with getting past the dreaded bubble!

depends on stack of every other player on the table and the table dynamics preceding the bubble. If you have a big stack you can easily bully shorter stacks to your left when you are in late position. If everyone on the table is short and you have a huge stack then you can bully everyone close to the bubble .. by raising/going all in almost every other hand.
On the other hand you have the short stack then you will get bullied so try and weather that storm by trying to find super good cards or equally good spots. And be ready to lay down even monsters in early positions.
If you are medium to average stack then try and play accordingly, by staying clear of big stacks and try to find decent spots to put pressure on smaller stacks.

You don't beat the bubble. You just play through it while adjusting as best you can to benefit from any changes in how your table plays.
