The vast majority of us are experiencing psychological difficulties, trying to survive bad beats, at least temporary.
It's just that I'm so tired of them!
How to avoid them?
I tried a lot of things! It's just that there is no longer any power to fight it!:mad::mad:

Accept it and show maximum grace in defeat.

Then go away and check you were definitely +EV.
If you were, just keep getting them in and probability will iron out the differences eventually.

I think one of the characteristics of a bad beat is that you can't avoid them. Learn to deal with them instead. Although, that may sound easier than it is.

There comes a point in your poker career that you start to truly understand the game. As long as you're playing with money you can lose, and you truly understand the math and physiology. You will know when you got it in right, and it will stop bothering you. Yea you will go back and run the hand through your head 50x questioning yourself. At the end of the day, if you agree that you played it right. That there was no other way to logically play it. You will start to accept it, and move on.

If anyone knew the answer to that question they would be rich! And they would not share it!! It is impossible. You can reduce the bad beats by learning to play better, but they will always happen. They happen to the best players.

For me the only way to stop a bad beat is: Not to play. If you play, you are subject to the probability of a bad beat, so don´t risk that much money on the event it happens. :listen:

If you play well you WILL get bad beats. Only lousy players consistently get lucky. If you need to be lucky to win, you suck as a poker player.

It really feels terrible to play perfectly but watch Lady Luck give your money to somebody else. We have all been there. And it's possible you could play perfectly but still lose over a long time. Online you will be screwed more because online algorithms are flawed. Rigged, flaw, whatever. AND you have to overcome rake. But it's doable.

Just play within your means, and value bet the fishes when you have the goods.

Bad beats are part of the game. Learn to appreciate bad beats. They are what keep the bad players thinking they have a shot.

Bad beats are part of poker, without bad beats poker would be a boring game!
You have to accept that playing poker entails facing many things some of them good others bad. Over time and after studying a lot you will realize that poker is not a simple card game but rather it is a game that you will need patience, strategy and another important skills but we don't have to forget that we will need a little bit of luck too. However, in the long term the best prepared players will have their reward.
