I've been running into this situation quite a bit and I'm not sure what to do. Let's say it's early in an STT with around 8 players remaining, and I'm at the button or in late position and last to act. I call the BB and 3-4 limpers see the flop.

Scenario 1: Let's say I have :6c4::5s4: and the flop is something like :7d4::2s4::8h4:. Everyone checks around to me, should I bet or just take the free card and see the turn?

Scenario 2: What if I have the same hand and the flop comes :7d4::as4::8h4:, same group of limpers in the pot, should I just check? In this situation it seems like I have a weaker holding at this point because somebody may have something like :ah4::3s4: and is waiting to see what happens, but I'm not sure.

Scenario 3: Let's say I hold :jd4::10d4: on the button and somebody raises 2-3x BB from UTG. Two others in middle position call and so do I. The flop is :4d4::qc4::9s4: and the pre-flop raiser checks, and so do the limpers. Do I check or bet? I had this happen recently and the pre-flop raiser check-raised me 2x pot size after I bet 1/3 pot so I threw it away because I figured he had at least TPTK. This is in Carbon Funsteps though, so it always makes me wonder if the villain actually has something or is just imitating what he saw on TV.

If it is checked around to you in these situations then a semi-bluff, say pot size, would induce folds from most of the competition. If you have callers then it could hit your draw and open other possibilities. You can also fire more bullets on the turn if you miss.
