Hi everyone, i just very recently started playing holdem and just got poker tracker. I haven't moved up to real money games yet, as i would like to practice with out losing anything yet, but i wanted to use poker tracker to help with any holes in my game, which there are plenty. However, poker tracker doesn't do hh analysis for full tilt play money games. Is there something else i can use aside from poker tracker that is just for hh or something that works for play games. Thanks for your time.

Move to pokerstars and start playing .01/.02. If you're going to play real money at some point I'm sure you can afford this. If you have a basic knowledge and self control it will be hard to lose anyway. There is only so much you can learn on playmoney before you need to start unlearning it. I was placing first in half my playmoney sitngos, then lost 10 buyins right away with realmoney. It is not the same game (especially NLHE). There is not much to be gained analysing playmoney its just there to learn the rules.

I found one loophole to the play money rule. If you play the playmoney sitngo's on pokerstars, its treated like a real money game. So you get hand histories and stats like normal.

hope that helps!

Learning on the play money tables is fine, but it should really be a short term experience if you are to take the game seriously.

If you have the funds to buy pokertracker, then just deposit a small amount and play the lowest level cash games available for a while. Deposit and play 1c/2c

Also, after 4 weeks pokerstars puts $5 into your account if you haven't deposited yet. So you can use that for 1/2 if you like.

Well, I don't know about Full Tilt, or the new version of PokerTracker.

But I've imported Stars play money tables into the old PokerTracker when I've tried some projects at the play money tables. I *think* that all you have to do is to rename the file with a legitimate real money name and it treats it as if you were playing real money. But then, to do that you need to know the naming format for the tables. At Tilt you might be able to see that if you just watch a real money table; I dunno.

Oh, and I did that for sit and goes, not cash games. It may get more complicated for "cash" tables as you probably need to edit the text hand history file and put real cash amounts in or something.

Thanks

Thanks alot guys, I just went ahead and put some money on pokerstars account. Playing in the real money games is WAY different than the fake ones. I'm glad i switched early, before i picked up some bad habits.
