seriously, if you're really that new-start playing with friends that can help you get the basics, theres many books out there for all levels of skill
this site is a mountain of great info like:
Learning Poker
Hand Analysis Lingo & Other Poker Terms
Poker Odds Calculator
and so on...
there many different games of poker (not just holdem)
as well as cash game and tournament styles
really decide what you have fun playing and do okay at
then come back here with more detailed questions that will get you decent responses:)

I would say that first you need to learn the rules of the game. This will tell you what you can and cant do. You wont think that you can have a wrap around straight with KA234 or something like that. After that I would read some books there are a lot out there to choose from. Start with the beginner stuff and work your way up. Something by Ed Miller or Phil Gordon would probably be a good start. After you are done reading some books it will give you some idea of strategy and how you will want to play the game. You will also want to learn pot odds and card odds. This will help you determine when you should and shouldn't be in a hand. Then of course you need to play a lot of poker. Practice is key. It will give you a chance to see a lot of different hands. Practice will help you react to all the of the different situations that will arise while you are playing.

This is just the beginning of what that you need to know how to play the game. There are a lot of other factors that you will need to become a good player.

Learn by gaining a lot of experience and bankroll management. Learn to build up your bankroll slowly and try higher levels when you have enough experience and your bankroll is ready.

The best way is to play a lot. Dont be fould by AA , KK, they are not always the best hand.
Go all in only when you are sure you gone to win.
Playing bingo style will not help you.
Find combinations, try to reach straight or flush.

Great tips here! Although I suppose it's mostly common sense. Fun is key!
